Give Eli Manning Some Credit

Sure, our pass defense played poorly, but he was on target all night long. He was finding receivers and hitting tight holes. His pocket presence was fantastic, tho - but that's always been good.

Eli played great. This had a pure offensive feel from the get go. So, I am going to give the Cowboys (and Giants D) a pass.

The key with Eli (and any other quarterback) is to get pressure early. With a combination of mediocre to subpar play in the secondary and just not punching through the offensive line, that pressure didn't come until the second half.

he had all day to throw on virtually every drop back, and that was multiplied by incredibly soft coverage

I guess he deserves some credit, but we're going to see alot of QB's hang 300 yds and 3 or 4 tds on us this yr if we dont play better than this

I just don't think you realize how tough it is to fit a football into some of the spots he was. The old Eli wouldn't have completed nearly as many plays tonight.

My exact sentiments. The few plays where we got pressure, Eli didn't look so great.
