Cooper did a nice job today. And is just a better G than Chaz Green. Glad the coaches are starting him. Chaz is perfect swing tackle.

Sorry but Chas can't be a "perfect swing tackle" if he's unable to perform half the time. I can easily see us drafting another G or T next year. Sure, I'm really glad he was available when we needed him vs. SF but being unavailable as much as he is won't stand him in good stead over time.

No. Chaz is better. Cooper is mediocre.

No he isn't. And there's more than enough results that continue to prove it.

Cooper is healthy and available. A worse player who can play adds great continuity with a line that has three all pros. Don't need a star, just someone whose limitations you understand.

Green was "healthy and available" too. In fact, he played left tackle in mop-up duty.
We'll draft a G first three rounds next year. No doubt
That was happening regardless. Even if Cooper plays great, this team isn't paying his asking price after his one year deal is up.

Cooper looks better out there. More physical and strong, just plain dominates guys. He can get more consistent but the 1st round pedigree shines through at times and I like having him on the field.

The offense and running game has been far better with Cooper out there, not Green.

And 0 sacks allowed yesterday. The results speak for themselves. Clearly.

I think it's taken awhile to gel more than anything, but I see little difference between the two other than Green is soft as warm butter unfortunately.

Not really. Green was very good vs Giants, Elliott barely cracked four yards a pop vs GB and Dak was pressured a bunch.

Having said that Cooper should stay in, Green just cannot be counted on.

I thought this was definitely Cooper's best game. Before this from everything I could see, Green was the better player, even if he was still learning the nuances of playing guard, but Cooper was getting movement in this game that he hadn't been getting.

I will agree that Green is more comfortable at tackle, and because he can't stay available, it always has been in our best interest that Cooper wins the spot. He had a few instances in pass protection where he gave up too much ground, but I was quite pleased with both him and Collins in this game.

Green did a fine job vs the Giants, not suggesting he didn't. But the lowest rushing numbers of the season came with him out there, and the offensive numbers have increased significantly since Cooper was inserted into the lineup.

Green is the backup swing tackle at this point. As he should be.

Considering the reports of Sweaty Green needing to change his underwear and shorts several times a practice I’ll go with his body being unable to withstand the rigors. Hated the pick. Still do
