Sorry if this has been discussed in other threads, but I really need to say this.

Terry Glenn needs to suck it up and play against the Skins. TO leaving the game put a serious hurt on our offense. Hurd and Austin ain't going to make it and Crayton is just not fast enough to stretch the field.

We need the win in Wahhhh-shington to avoid another Ice Bowl game. Glenn has to play. He has nursed that knee for 16 weeks. If he is ever going to play another season for the Cowboys he needs to contribute right now. Jerruh and Wade have kept him on the roster all year thinking he can play.

Now is the time to put on the pads and have at it!

I would have liked to have seen more of Austin this year. The "deep" specialist. He can atleast draw some PI flags.

The way we've been playing on the road, I would rather have a healthier TG back for the p-offs than worry about him playing with a not-100% knee.

Even if we, gasp, lose to Wash and GB gets homefield, I would put this team ahead of GB with Barber and Witten being great cold-weather assets.

Although, I do agree that he needs to show up at some point or we wasted a roster spot on him this season. It would be awesome for him to showup next week and make some plays.

I don't know if Glenn can suck it up. We're talking about a major injury here that he is recovering from. Also, I think Terry Glenn's been a warrior for us in the past. I think if he could be out there he would, but there's no need to put someone out there that won't be able to do anything because of pain. It'll all depend on how he does in practice this week

While I agree to a point, it's not about "sucking it up" Dude come on, the guy is coming off of two major knee surgeries. His muscles in his leg have not been strong enough to withstand the grind of running and the impact of cuts and potential tackles.

While I want to see him out there just like the rest of you, this isnt a case where he needs to suck it up. Dude was seriously hurt and is recovering. When his muscles are strong enough and the staff feels he is good to go, he will be back out there. No need to rush things, we got a first round bye secured. All that matters is what we do in the playoffs.

Glad to see we're agreeing on something today :D

Suck it up??...Is that a serious demand?...Guy isn't nursing a sprain or some sort of bruise...Guy doesn't have stability in his knee...How's that have anything to do with sucking it up?

Said this many times earlier in the season, Glenn is a bonus and fans shouldn't pin their hopes on his return...All hopes on him being a big factor this season were dashed in preseason.

That's what got him into this mess in the first place, trying to suck it up. No, he needs to get his knee right then play. If he can't go, he can't go.

I disagree with other posters, if Dallas goes into the playoffs as the #2 seed, I like their chances just as well. I think they beat Green Bay whether they play them in Texas, Wisconsin, or on the Brooklyn Bridge. It'd be nice to finally exorcise the curse of the ice bowl and shut the mediots up.

There is a reason he has been kept on the roster. He has to have told th front office that he will play this year. The doctors and trainers had to have said he would be able to play this year. He has been practicing, so it can be assumed he was cleared by all the medical people.

If he can't play in the last game of the season, would you want to test him out in a playoff game? I for one believe that he will be cut next year unless he can contribute right now, when the team needs him.

Again, he was kept on the roster because the medical staff believed he could play. He must have said he could play this year or he would have gone IR. All football players play with pain. Ellis is the example.

Glenn needs to help his team.

I dont know... the cross winds on the bridge may be problematic for the passing games :D

I agree... Romo is a Road Warrior. Darn near undefeated. 2 losses as a starter on the road.... both losses sorta flukey.

I beileve that I read last night that Terry Glenn WILL play next weekend at Washington. I think that when Glenn comes back he will make a big impact in the game.

The thing im wondering is when will we see a complete Cowboys squad. We didnt see Ware and Ellis start together till like week 7. Newman and Henry werent out there both starting for awhile. So now Glenn will be coming back and TO will be down, TO needs to get some good sleep in the hyperbaric chamber till the playoffs.

Hopefully I can get on here next week and tell ya how Glenn looked in person!

Glenn was almost put on IR.

He cut out cartiledge to allow himself a chance to play this year. A decision that likely will impair his ability to WALK the rest of his liife. He hs had 2 knee surgeries and has been trying to get back on field. But has been experiencing swelling in knee.

Suck it up?

We are 13-2 and this gets a Tommy point for post of the day :anger:

WE really shouldn't count on getting anything from Glenn. It will make any plays we get from him a gift, and lessen the disappointment otherwise. I don't expect much.

fI don't think that we will see him at all. And if we do, I doubt he makes it through the playoffs. The guy is a trooper, but everyone hits the point they can't go on. I think they carried him on the team all year with their fingers crossed. We'll see howlucky that was....

Sounds like his knee is fine, but they are talking about his thigh muscles...which means he just isn't up to playing strength yet. In essence, they are probably thinking that he's likely to get re-injured and he won't be very effective if he played against Carolina.

glenn would be back if his knee didn't swell up on him after practicing.
