I think Glenn could provide a deep threat which would help to loosen up the coverage in other places.
Like I told my wife, who you going to double up? Witten? TO? Glenn? Romo will go thru his progressions and just eat defenses up all game.

And your wife replied "Don't you have work to do around here?"

;)

Yep...Owens, Glenn, Crayton, Witten...with Barber in the backfield.

Yikes.

Maybe if we cut Glenn now the Panthers will give us Moore back.

He is, after all, Ballin out of control.

And I don't want you and I don't need you
Don't bother to resist, or I'll beat you
It's not your fault that you're always wrong
The weak ones are there to justify the strong

The beautiful posters, the beautiful posters
It's all relative to the size of your keyboard
You can't see the forest for the trees
You can't smell your own shyte on your knees

There's no time to discriminate,
Hate every other poster
That's in your way

[Chorus:]
Hey you, what do you read?
Something you don't like, something to mock?
Hey you, are you trying to be mean?
If you live with apes man, it's hard to be clean

The jerks will live in every post
It's hard to pick which one they hate the most

The horrible posters, the horrible posters
It's as anatomic as the size of your keyboard
Capitalism has made it this way,
Old-fashioned posters will take it away

[Chorus]

There's no time to discriminate,
Hate every other poster
That's in your way

The beautiful posters
The beautiful posters (aahh) [x4]

[Chorus x2]

The beautiful posters [x8]

------

you're so pretty and always right, sp. i'm so glad you're here to correct every little thought just like the good thought police do. : )

and so you feel more at home in this post...

If his speed really is where they said it is he will impact the playoffs. Defenses are gonna have to defend us differently now cause they still have to worry about TO and Witten underneath and this could help the run game by opening up some lanes while worrying about glenn strething the field for the long ball. Lets not even mention what kind of damage we could do if we went 3wide with Crayton in the mix also. We can be even more explosive

Agreed.

All Glenn has to do is catch one long ball or get behind a corner, and he immediately changes the way defenses play the Cowboys.

If he's not limping, he will make an impact in the playoffs.

You leave TO in single coverage you are toast.

Terry Glenn is flat out uncoverable if not doubled. Witten - you might want to account for him.

You can't double all our weapons. And watch out for Barbarian to smash you in the mouth.....

That's the impact. Crayton gets first downs when he's covered without safety help; Glenn gets touchdowns.

Nice call.

I really wish we would use more run plays out of passing formations. I know we have this "power" running game, but there are many times early on in games that it doesnt look too overpowering. Not untill the 4th quarter do we see our "power" run game.

Now that Glenn is back, I want to see some runs out of 3 and 4 WR sets to catch the defense off guard. THAT would keep the defense off balance.

It's just too early to speculate about Glenn...we'll get some answers soon enough...if we believe Romo and Phillips then it's a very exciting time for the offense and not a moment too soon, considering the injury to Owens...

I'm of the opinion that if he's healthy and can run good routes then its simply a matter of timing with Romo...he's always had good hands and he really understands opposing defenses...he can return the vertical threat that has been largely absent this year...

I've perused many rival message boards and nary one of them has even mentioned Terry Glenn and his absence from the offense, let alone his possible return for the playoffs...

"That's a good thing, not a bad thing", per Bill Parcells...opposing DCs will have to make on-the-field adjustments because no game tape exists on Dallas with Glenn in the offense [not 2007 anyway]...this is a nice edge for Dallas to couple with HFA and a first round bye...speed kills!;)

It's definitely too early to speculate about T Glenn. So all you guys salivating over his return may want to wipe the drool off the floor.

I'm optimistic, but I'm in no manner convinced he'll have a major impact in the playoffs. You don't sit out all year and suddenly come back to Pro Bowl form.

Doesn't happen.

It's great he's back, but I wouldn't expect too much from him.

If Glenn is healthy then this is a big addition to the Cowboys. You are talking a 1,000 yard WR that was lost and now is about to return. Glenn will put the pressure on the secondary which should benifet TO.

Sherman said. "Having a guy like that brings another dimension to your offense. That is huge. It's good to have him back on the field and getting ready to go this week."

Glenn, who ran and cut full speed in practice without incident, will use Sunday's game against the Commanders as a tuneup for the playoffs.

Other than that, Sherman said there are no concerns about what he can do. He said Glenn has looked very good in practice. Not only has he regained his blazing speed, but he was cutting and stopping and starting with ease.

"The main thing is he has been out a long time so it's just getting back into the flow of things and getting that first hit," Sherman said.

Greg Ellis seemed to do it. Don't underestimate the impact of adding a seasoned vet who knows how to prepare, and knows what he's doing.

Ellis was out for just under 16 games and contended for a pro bowl spot and the team lead in sacks.

I'm not saying Glenn will definitely be back to his old self. But I'm not discounting the possibility.
