Glimmer of Hope if we Dominate Raiders, Somehow

Dallas should beat the Raiders, they and Geno are terrible. That is not a good football team but it will change nothing in the long run but an added win in the column. Just hope the defense looks better with the additions but Dallas is not making the playoffs, lose that pipe dream, concentrate on hope for next season.

So, this Raiders team. Not very good. But how many of you will have a glimmer of hope for this team if we stomp the Raiders?

We'll only be 4-5-1 then, and just one game back from .500.

With this defense, I think it's a close game. But I can see a scenario where the Cowboys blowout the Raiders and fans start rallying.

What if Bobby Belt was right?

Meh, of course, this is just the homer in me talking. But I'm also a realist and unless we have big changes on defense, I just can't see us getting her done for the playoffs this year even if we do beat da Raiders.

No glimmer of hope. If we win, and that's a big if, we'll be 4-5-1, soon to be 4-8-1 after the next 3 weeks. Then we can start winning a few games to worsen our draft position.

Coach dan (dumb dumb ) went for it on 4th down 5 times, and failed all 5 times, giving eagles great field position.

Yeah, our biggest hope is that AJ Brown turns into T.O 2.0 and completely melts down the Eagles.

Bobby Belt - unfortunately - is so far inside the Cowboys reality distortion field that he can't be objective.

I like his reporting but...he is also a Dak fan - not a dis - but that also means he wants it for Dak. Even notwithstanding Dak's issues choking - this team ain't good enough...even if we had "MVP Dak". It's that bad.

That said, I fully expect Dak to beat the Raiders tonight or I will begin hating on him.

How many times do you go for a 4th down conversion and not get it before you get the message. Yes Dan you are an aggressive risk taker but being aggressive and being stupid are 2 different things. That was so frustrating to watch.

I believe in going for it on fourth if you believe you can't win without the points the risk is going to give you. But field position is still a real stat.

I don't believe Schotty is the best option as head coach for the Cowboys. I wanted Mike Vrabel as head coach. Even he was interested in coaching the Cowboys. Too bad Jerry never called him. Jerry stayed with who he can control and is comfortable: Schotty.

Now, we see what Vrabel has done with the Patriots in only one offseason and training camp. Turned the 2024 4 - 13 Patriots team (coached by Jerod Mayo) into a current 9 - 2 Patriots team with a 5th overall ranked Offense and an 8th overall ranked Defense.

Many here didn't want Mike Vrabel when mentioned early this past Spring after last season ended. I bet most everyone regrets that decision now.

Jerry clearly messed up BIG TIME, hence why we are where we are. Whoever gives him advice should have been fired a long time ago.

Glimmer of hope to do what? Make the playoffs? NFC Championship game? Super Bowl?

Or just be decent to provide hope for next year?

This season is toast. Everyone knows it. Would take a miracle to do ANYTHING but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the rest of the season and watch how our Defense might look. They need to play all the young players they can. Too bad we are stuck watching Dak's remaining sad seasons. It's time to turn the page there too but they won't for another season or two unfortunately.

I actually wanna see the defense get their butts kicked really bad by a poor offense so that maybe they ditch, or at least get closer to ditching, Uberfluke.

I don’t disagree. the question was about having hope again. Even if they won the next 3. I could start to have some hope but the odds would still be against them even if they did that.

The reality is. The playoffs this season are a pipe dream. We can thank Jerry and Stephen for that. Two years in a row where they aren’t even really in realistic playoff contention.

Shameful.
