I counted 5.

Then we should all be very happy with the trade. A huge upgrade at a very key spot, some extra cap dollars to spend elsewhere, and a liability at CB gone to make way for better players.

I agree... Henry was beaten many times the past 2 seasons. He's a big CB and was good at bumping bigger WRs but even with his size still missed MANY tackles throughout his stint in Big D. We can replace him with Shawn Springs through FA.

I'm not a fan of Kitna's mouth and attitude but he'll be a GREAT backup QB to have in case of injury (or even bad play by Romo - If I should DARE say, LOL). He has skills and was on a bad Detroit team last season - even with that horrific game with the 3 INTs in 3 minutes, although they were trying to make final attempts at a comeback. With his injury he's had somewhat of a rest or a season off so to speak. He'll have more weapons in Dallas and 1 of them he knows - Roy Williams, so that's good. Anyways, it's nice to sure up the backup spot at QB.

GET both SHAWN'S - Springs (CB) & Jones (SS) :)

Go watch the last few minutes of this game where Kitna throws 3 picks in a few minutes. The last pick he doesnt even run after the guy. http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80acca9b

And youtube of Kitna tryin to throw a t-shirt

how about looking at 2006 and 2007 when he threw for more than 4000 yards in each season and had a 80 QB rating.......there are instances for each agenda.......he is a solid back up.....

How about finding some footage of Brad Johnson last year. I'm not a big Kitna fan but I'm more than happy with him as the veteran backup QB. We went from having a bottom five backup QB to having a top five backup QB. That makes me happy and I'm glad I no longer have to watch Henry giving a 10 yard cushion on 1st and goal from the 8 yard line.

I really like this move, Kinta in a pinch could do just what a backup QB should be able to do win you a game. Of course he isn't Romo, but I can live with Kinta as the backup, solid pickup if you ask me.

I just don’t like the fact that we are raiding Detroits roster. I think this team is on a quest to sign every player i can’t stand...you know, test my fandom.

Thank you. I was just going to respond about how everyone wants to focus on a handful of negative plays and not dozens of positive plays.

As I posted in another thread. He took the Bengals to the playoffs, had a great season. Then the Bengals went with their #1 pick the next year in Carson Palmer. After he sat a year on the bench. Mabe Kitna actually shown and taught Palmer a few things. Maybe not talent or mechanics wise, or anything like that. But how be a QB in the NFL.

Too much negativity on this board lately.

I didn't see one on there that was better for certain. Griese is up there. Brunell is washed up. I'd take Tavaris Jackson and Vince Young over Kitna in a heartbeat. Probably Leinhart as well. But they aren't better just young and with mucho potential. Garcia isn't on the list but isn't a fit for this defense. He's arguably better.

I think a lot of you don't remember him with the Bengals and even with Detroit. He's played for crappy teams and still put numbers up. He's experienced, can make the throws, and knows how to win and run an offense. This was a huge upgrade for us and a correction of a horrible mistake last year on the part of Jerry and staff.

Kudos to the Boys on this one.

Kitna is more then capable of stepping in for a game or 2. I like this trade a lot.
