Goalline offense? JG says pass, pass, pass

I did not see this mentioned, but why is it after the Butler pass reception we didn't just run it down their throats? I have seen this too many times. We end up settling for a FG! Why!? I say run, run, run! It just irks me that with this offense, JG still wants to throw the ball in too many of these situations. Thoughts?

Linehan calls the plays... Romo and now Dak has the ability to audible... Why are we still blaming JG?

being too cute..... sometimes coaches do that... why did carrolll pass it on the 2 yard line instead of run it with power RB lynch? wait it wasn't carroll it was his OC.....why is it when play is bad, we say JG, but when things go well, its linehan?

and if you noticed, two plays the WRs were wide open..... Dak was very inaccurate in placement.....Dez was wide wide open and the throw was really high...

we won the game....come off the ledge

Lazy considerations. I shouldn't even be posting in this thread.

Because it begins and ends with him. He is the boss.

If we get inside the 5 and it's 1st and goal, there really is no excuse in my mind to not run the ball with the talent we have on the LOS.

The next time we are in that situation, he needs to instruct Linehan to run the damn ball.

I read they weren't sure if Butler caught it so they hurried to the line and threw the fade to Dez.

One play was a RPO (run pass option) and the LB came up so Dak kept it and just missed a wide open Dez.

I would prefer them to run it there as well, but lets not go crazy, they ran a RPO later for an easy TD to Witten.

Let's go even more extreme... Blame Jerry... After all he is owner and GM and signs the checks.

Lets not also forget that Dez was open for the TD. Dak just missed him.

at the end of the day the HC accepts all responsiblity PLUS is in charge of the team top to bottom. JG accepted this. He can override Linehan at any time.

Well see now you are trying to divert from the actual issue at hand.

Jerry is not on the sideline. Despite the claims of some, he has no headset on and is not the head coach.

Anyone trying to blame JG for the play calls when Linehan and Dak are calling the plays are trying to divert blame to JG.

If JG had his way as HG... He would still be calling plays and would never had that taken away from him Jerry.

Stop blaming JG for play calling unless you want to blame him for going for it or not on fourth down, challenging the refs calls, calling time outs.

Jerry took away his play calling. If not for that JG would still be calling plays.

I didn't like the three passes there, but the plays they called were sufficient to score. It was Dak who blew that slant.

I agree that the timing of the first down play contributed to that, and have no problem with it, under the circumstances.

Meh, if Dak puts the ball in the right place on the Dez cross, it's a moot point. They had the right call and all it took was a pass they do in practice and wasn't executed. If you want to blame anyone (i dont) on that series of plays put it on Dak.

If Dak delivers the gimme to a wide open Dez, nobody would care about play selection

Linehan does run it more than one or two times in a row

People argue results when they should be worried about the execution

Plays were there to be made and Dak was 'off'.

Look at the Beasley catch. What was that throw?
