I am curious to see who you guys think the "Big 3" of Goff, Lynch and Wentz most likely resemble TODAY that has come out before them. For example, none of them would be compared to Andrew Luck who was almost universally viewed as a can't miss prospect.
They seem to be more comparable to Brock Osweiler or Mettenberger than than Andrew Luck. This should give us some idea of their comparative worth (or value) in terms of where they should probably be drafted. I think this is a much more valuable exercise than just choosing one because we "won't get another chance to draft this high for years". That is desperation and unsound reasoning.
If this were the draft with Marino, would any of them be drafted in the first 3 rounds? Are these guys the real deal, or just the prettiest girl at a lackluster party? Let's hear your thoughts on the matter.
Goff - Nick Foles, bubble screen and quick routes. When he's forced to make more than one read we see what happened in the utah game. Goff needs to be in a spread offense.
Wentz - Derek Carr, nice mechanics smart with the ball but plays too robotic at times
Lynch - Osweiler, This guy is basically a clone of Ocweiler IMO
