Goff or Lynch should be there at #4

Looking at the top 3 teams and their likelihood to take a QB
  1. Tenn - no need
  2. Cleveland - most likely
  3. San Diego - not likely
Unless there is a trade I would assume Tenn takes the OT, Cleveland has their pick of Goff or Lynch, and San Diego takes another position. So if Dallas wants a QB in this draft we are likely to have that opportunity.

I'm guessing Goff goes to Cleveland and Lynch to Dallas.

I am guessing Goff goes to Cle and Dallas improves their team by not drafting the second best QB at no 4.

While it seems likely that the Browns will draft a QB with the 2nd overall pick, I wonder if they might take a look at RGIII or Kaepernick?

I would gladly take Paxton Lynch. I like the guy a lot and feel couple of years behind Romo will payoff for the Cowboys in the long run.

His mechanics bother me a little bit. He has kind of a long, slow release. I love everything else about him.

Someone posted that a proportionately large number of his throws were screens and stuff, but I've seen him throw deep balls and he's good at it.

And he can escape the rush.

He was getting quite a bit of practice against Auburn.

The Titans could easily sell their first round pick to a QB hungry team and fill multiple needs on their crummy team. No incoming Cleveland coach is going to want anything to do with Manziel. And I have no idea why the Chargers wouldn't be in the QB business to replace the 34 year old Rivers if we have been freaking out about the 35 year old Romo for 2-3 years now. They are pretty much our AFC twins when it comes to mediocrity so they need to take the same advantage of a rare high pick. I have serious doubts a first round QB is coming to town, and would be wary of one that was passed over.

I jsut feel SF makes that leap up for Goff

I don't think it's out of the question that the Niners next coach (Kelly) tries to revive Kaep's career and make him the starter again. It's also worth mentioning that Gabbert, while not great, wasn't horrid either and they might make that a two-way competition.

All I can say is based on what I have seen from him I think he will become a very good NFL QB. He has a strong arm, good mobility especially for a man of his size. I do think there are things he will need to work on but then I think that can be said of any QB entering the league.

Lynch will almost certainly be there when we pick at #4, and we will pass on him. Goff will be long gone imo.

My opinion is Jerry isn't interested in using a top 5 pick on either of these QBs as he's more interested in trading a late rd pick for Johnny.
(Not my preference but what I think jerry wants)
We will then trade back a few spots and go BPA, maybe Treadwell maybe Myles Jack Maybe a CB.

This way the backup QB void is filled (in Jerry's mind) and we can address other areas of need while staying true to our board. Just my personal opinion

Another thing to consider with Cleveland & their options at 2:

Sometimes these college QB's who are projected to be high picks in the 1st round (John Elway in the 83 draft, and Eli Manning in the 04 draft) behind the scenes with their agent tactically tell the management don't pick me at that spot.
Yea, it is an ego-negotiation ploy which can be a PR mess, but the player at that high selection has the right to dictate which team should select him.
Given the complete mess/disarray of the Browns organization and the dysfunctional owner Jimmy Haslam, Goff or even Lynch may rely on that approach to avoid being selected by Cleveland, in which case Dallas would be directly benefited by such move.

The Titans are going to draft Tunsul to protect Marriota.........they also don't like trading. Chip Kelly offered up 3 first round picks last season to the Titans for the 2nd overall pick to draft Marriota and the Titans gave him the middle finger.

So that leaves Cleveland and San Diego...........even if the Chargers trade out of the pick and both Lynch and Goff are taken at 2 and 3, that sill leaves us with Bosa, the best defensive player in this draft.

I break dance up to the podium to hand the card to the commish myself if Bosa is on the board at pick 4.

If we take a CB or LB in the top 5...................something is going to get broke at my house:mad:
