And to think there are people on this board that don't believe we could get more than a third for Dak.

Dak isn't signed. You can't get anything for him at the moment. And if you franchise him, you're definitely not getting a haul anywhere close to what the Rams go. So, you'd have to either sign and dirty deal him or work a sign and trade. In a sign and trade you're still not getting remotely that value.

Dak may be worth more than Stafford, but all things aren't equal and you wouldn't get nearly that haul.

If teams are giving up a ransom for a 32 year old like Stafford, gotta imagine the price for Dak is much higher.
Why are so many people obsessed about Prescott and his perceived trade value?

He is not going anywhere. The Joneses will overpay for him because they lost the concept of leverage years ago and they have no intention of trading him. When will that sink in?

Huge get for the Lions!!

Yes and no.

Goff is not an asset, he's a liability. Worthless player w/massive cap. Unloading him probably cost the Rams one of the first-rounders.

The first round picks will almost certainly be at the bottom of round 1, and the 3rd round pick will also be late.

This fact makes the Lions a little less of the winner.

They took on a horrible contract with a questionable QB who is owed large amount of guaranteed money.

This trade was between a new GM who just left the Rams, so there was some back scratching involved.

I'd gladly take that cap hit for those picks. He's on the books for two years if he doesn't pan out. Long term this is great for the Lions and horrific for the Rams. I don't see how they get out of this unless they hire Will McClay.

Guess you forgot about the non-exclusive franchise tag.

Goff received so much credit on this board for the Rams going to the Superbowl but the Rams don't seem to think that Goff played a big enough of an important role to keep him as their franchise QB.

Plus, there would be Jerry and Stephen Jones on one end of the trade deal.

They are incapable of making trades in their own favor. Or really any trades these days.

They quite simply don't have the relationships with other front offices, which is something that plays a bigger part in trades than people bother to realize.
