So, I came across a deal on tickets to go to the game in Philly on the 14th. Now, I will be making this trek from Toronto, I have heard mixed reviews of Lincoln Financial. Im wondering, if anyone on this board has gone there, and has any advice to keep me from getting myself, hospitalized lol

i went in 2011 when we got annihilated by them. Never again. i was sitting directly behind the Eagles bench wearing my 88 throwback jersey, Jason babin (sp?) the linebacker for the eagles at the time, walked over and asked me if i was crazy. My girlfriend and i only stayed until shortly after halftime as the game was basically over at that time. Trying to get a cab was almost impossible and the cabs that did stop were charging over $100.00, i stayed at the four seasons which is maybe a 15or so min ride from the stadium, nowhere close to a $100 fee, so we opted for the subway... ill skip the antics that went on during the walk to the subway and fast forward to the HORDES of eagles fans rocking and shaking the subway to get to the conductor all because he was wearing a star on his hat. I guess the point of my story here is.. well..

Good luck.

Did you ever see the Burt Reynolds movie where he straps a canteen to his leg and runs a tube up to his "crotch area" so he could use the restroom without actually going to the restroom? My advice to you, from stories I've heard from guys waking up in a puddle of piss in the restrooms there, is DON'T use the restrooms there.....

You gotta be smart and use common sense. Don't be confrontational, know where the security is in your section and be cool and you could be okay. From the things I've been told, it's the walk in and especially the walk out that is dicey.

Suicide mission if you wear Cowboys gear. I heard one year a Bengals fan got jumped, forget about it.. They hate Dallas more than anyone else. Wear neutral clothing or better yet wear a green jacket.. Seriously you are way outnumbered...

I know it's the way of the world, sadly, but not being able to wear your team's colors or it not being prudent or safe in a different stadium is truly sad.

I know some stadiums (Eagles, Raiders, 9ers) have a bad reputation, by my goodness, in the big scheme of things, it's just a game.

Again, it's pathetic.

I live outside of Philly (22 years now). Originally from Dallas (first 36 years). Been to about 4 Cowboys/Eagles games in that time. My observations:

o Veteran's Stadium was much worse than the Linc
o Watch your six going and coming to and from the stadium
o 200 section and lower - people are pretty cool (high priced tickets and most folks from the burbs)
o Don't incite, don't be overly demonstrative - especially if the Cowboys are winning or win
o Expect to get wet and yelled at, but don't respond
o Stay in your seat during the entire game
o If possible, don't wear anything Cowboys

Actually, believe it or not, most Eagle fans are pretty good folks. Particularly folks from the suburbs. It's those South Philly low life's that grew up in Rocky's backyard ya have to look out for....

First, it sounds like you are going alone or with a friend - not with a large group of cowboys fans, right ?

I can give you a real clear picture.

If you have good seats - lower level - you will be in a crowd that is a mix. Most people will be pretty civilized though you will get some heavy jeering and they wont let up but, If you are a good sport about it as the game goes on they will probably respect you more or just get bored with you. You will probably get cursed at several times for being a cowboys fan - dont take it personal.

If you are in the upper level it will be more intense. You may get beer or soda thrown at you. Some fans will challenge your manhood (read into that what you like but im trying to be clean here). Again if you are a good sport about it they will probably just keep commenting about You, the **** Dallas fan over there and so on.

If you see younger fans that are visibly intoxicated or a group of guys who are drunk together be cautious and dont antagonize - better yet, have as little conversation as possible because a drunk fan can take something you say out of context and get his buddies riled up to a situation that can escalate into a mob mentality.

The parking lot is actually the most dangerous place because there is no security out there and fans will be drunk and hyped up.

Soooooo,

You want to enjoy the game and you spent money for tickets and for travel. Its up to you if you want to wear a cowboys jersey. If you dont no one will really bother you too much, those close to you will probably notice that you are cheering for the cowboys soon enough but you wont be so obvious for evryone to see a make a target of you.

Its Dec - it will be cold so you will have a coat on - at least in the parking lot I would recommend avoid engaging eagles fans or announcing that you are a cowboys fan.

Inside the stadium there is security so physically you should be safe and fine. But still for me, its harder to enjoy the game with someone or many people constantly jawing at me and it takes away from the experience. And if someone threw beer on me I dont think i would restrain myself too well. I would probably buy a beer and throw it back....

So in summary - Be alert and smart in the parking lot, dont be a cocky fan from out of town - seriously. And if you have good seats not much to worry about as long as you dont stir up the crowd. If you dont have good seats - i dont recommend showing off your cowboys fandom.

You are from Canada, therefor, have better health insurance than folks here in the U.S. Make sure everything is up to date, and check to see what you need to do to get medical attention outside the country.

Ok my seats are not good lol, so im going to go with, im not wearing anything to do with my cowboys, and not cheering for my team, which makes no sense to me, as it will be my first live cowboys game. I am going with 2 friends, both males, one cowboys fan one eagles fan im sitting in the 200 level. so im going to assume not to antagonize and not wear anything cowboys and i should be ok

I've been offered tickets many times. No thanks.

They will ruin the experience
