Going to the game tomorrow

Dude that is freakin' awesome! Your first game and an historic one. I can't stop smiling, too bad Clint took a swing at Captain American the next year in camp and was out of football forever. But for one day...

Yep, my first Cowboys game and it turned into a classic. It was such a sick feeling watching Staubach get knocked out of that game with the Cowboys down 16-3 in the 3rd quarter. Me and my dad were regretting ever going wishing we had stayed home and watched it on TV. It was such an improbable comeback with a rookie QB taking over because even with Staubach the Cowboys couldn't get anything going. Roger was having a miserable day completing only 3 of 11 passes for 32 yards and an int.

That was the worst I had ever seen Roger play so when Longley came trotting in we pretty much sank in our seats and gave up. The stadium was so deflated I actually saw a few people get up and head for the exit when Roger went out. Longley ended up pulling a Staubach making that my happiest Thanksgiving ever. What many fans probably don't remember was the Cowboys were facing elimination from the playoffs in that game. They entered the game with 5 losses and the season was only 14 games long so that was a must win game.

We fly in at 10 am from Vegas! Will be meeting up with family at our tailgating spot straight from DFW! My wife and I's 3rd Turkey Day Game in a row!!!!! We will be 20 rows up on Cowboys bench! Will be bringing "THIS IS COWBOYS COUNTRY" Flag! LETS GO COWBOYS!!!! (Can you tell i am geeked??)

The last game I attended was the Philthy playoff where we spanked them. Hope it works out as well for you as it did for me.

OP, I remember your excitement on going to the game last year and I think you're part of the Cowboys fan club in Vegas if i remember correctly?
Always give mad props and respect to fans from other states!! Give those eagles fan all they can handle and maybe flick some of them off for me

The first game I ever saw the Cowboys play in person was on Thanksgiving 1974 the Clint Longely game. It was the only Cowboys game I ever attended in person at Texas Stadium. I had my heart set on seeing the Cowboys/Dolphins the year before on Thanksgiving but my dad couldn't get tickets. I was pretty disappointed wanted to see the Cowboys go up against that great Dolphins team that was coming off an undefeated season but the Cowboys ended up losing that game. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise not being able to get tickets for that game because had we gotten them me we wouldn't have attended the 74 Thanksgiving game.
