Good bye to Mazi thread

The Jets demanded either:

1st rounder + 3rd rounder
1st rounder + 2nd rounder + Mazi

The second option was too good for Dallas to pass up.

Watch Mazi end up good as a Jet. I seriously think it happens. He never fit Quinn or Flus' defenses.

Drafting a tight end in the first would’ve been even more stupid then taking one in the second.
To each their own. The Lions took him with the 34th pick overall, and he produced 10 TD’s as a rookie. In terms of getting immediate production from a 1st rd pick regardless of position, he delivered. I’ll take that over drafting Mazi & Schoon in the 1st & 2nd respectively, all day every day.

My point is we didn’t have a defensive tackle. We needed interior help among other positions. We had Ferg at the time. It was stupid to even be looking at tight end. Why do I need a second tight end when I don’t even have a defensive tackle?

He just needed the dak treatment and he would have been talked about being an MVP.

He didn't have all the number 1s on defense to help carry him.
He had bad coaches.
Jerry.
They wouldn't let him eat.

I'll miss you, amazing maz.

So, the CZ whipping boy is going to the Jets. Who's going to be whipped now?

Mazi was a bust from his 1st preseason game. He got pushed 15 yards backwards.

The same thing happened to Trysten Hill during his summer debut.

One in the same.

That's true, they didn't have a DT...and after drafting Mazi, they still didn't. They've now had to do what they should've tried to do then, trade for an established player or sign one in free agency. Mazi's claim to fame was being on Feldman's freaks list.
They took a TE in the second that had decent measurables, but lacked production in a run heavy offense. LaPorta was someone they liked, produced, and was well regarded. Point being, they wasted a 1st on reaching for need, and took a TE in the 2nd anyway, wasting that pick as well.

Its Jerry's money, not Cowboys fan's money. They just pay him to go to the games and watch his product. Even if the chemistry slightly favors a better direction, it is still not a winning formula. Bad trade. 30 years going on 31 years. But fans still buy it. Oh well.
