Good bye to Mazi thread

Watch Mazi end up good as a Jet. I seriously think it happens. He never fit Quinn or Flus' defenses.
He didn't fit Quinn, Zimmer, or Flus' defenses.

To be honest I was worried the moment after he was drafted when he said "I really don't like football, I just like hitting people". Maybe it shouldn't have been taken out of context; but given the way a player with his size and strength has performed, there could be truth in his statement.

He was showing improvement with Zimmer. Looked like a rookie but it was a better fit than the other two up the field systems.

Will be out of the league in 2027.
One of the worst Dallas 1st round busts in their history.

He traded a 1st and 2nd for a DT?
And yet he has never pursued a top flight difference making DT in FA. In fact, I venture he wouldn’t pursue Williams if he were to have hit FA next year or the next. Doesn’t make sense ‘cause a trade costs picks & money where a FA signing is inly $.

At least I got to see mazi in Dallas uniform at training camp. Feel bad for the guy, sheesh..

Yeah I don't know how I feel about that but I'm tired of you guys saying the Cowboys don't invest in defensive tackles and you wanted to get rid of Mazi, now we have Osa, Clark ,and Quinn Williams with thomas and winfrey and toia as depthIsn't that trying you said they don't try now you complain about the compensation...

This is a lot better than the Mingo 0r ance trade LOL..
I liked the trade. He’s got a couple years left on his deal and when they cut Clark that is almost exactly what Williams salary is next year so doesn’t really affect cap space. Some fans complain about a problem then complain when you address the problem. He’s the best DT we’ve had in a long time. Get some edge help and the pass rush could be pretty good and he plays the run well

They are not cutting Clark. Clark at 1 and Williams at 3 will be among the best DT combos in Cowboys history.

This does make Clark better, too, I think. Don't forget, we have Toia and Winfrey to develop. I like Williams. Just think he cost too much. Oh well. Now we can move past the DT issue and draft some play makers.

Next, they need to unload Osa. What do they do with him?

My deal is the cost unless next year is the year you go on a run, which I think it is..
