I dont post here as much any more and I've remembered why. I've never seen so many people jumping off the wagon and declaring doom over a freakin 13-3 NFL team who has the #1 seed and home field throughout their conference in my life

One would think Dallas was 9-7 and backing into the playoffs or something. I'm reading from more than just a few that Dallas is done...that they wont win a playoff game and that there is no reason to even be optimistic

This over a team that WAS good enough to win 13 games this year and lock down everything they could. Team are what their records are in the NFL. Bad teams dont win 13 games.

Yeah it would be nice if Dallas had played better today but pardon me if I dont jump off a bridge because Dallas went out and didnt look good in a total meaningless game (and it was no matter how much some want to claim it wasnt) missing TO, Guarde, and several others.

I mean some on here are basically declaring Dallas dead and not having any chance no matter who they play....this for a team that was the best team in the NFC this year and top 3 in the NFL this year. do people not see how absurd this stuff sounds?

I dont know if Dallas is going to the superbowl but I think they have a damn good chance. Most teams coming off the bye win their games and I cant see Green Bay beating Dallas at Texas Stadium after that.

We haven't looked all that motivated to play since the Green Bay game.

Which also happens to be the last big game we played this year. Funny how that works.

We'll be fine in the playoffs.

Also, you'll notice that almost every team in the league with nothing to play for regarding playoff seeding, lost today. It was expected, but horrible to watch.

I'm not concerned that Dallas lost today. I *am* concerned that they haven't played well for about a month.

That's a good point. They were really hyped for the Packers game and came out strong, although they fizzled when the young QB came in. The point is, we know what the Cowboys can do when healthy and with something on the line. I pray that TO (and maybe even Glenn) can play in two weeks. That would make all the difference in the world.

P.S. the GB game was the loudest I recall it ever being at Texas Stadium in the regular season. And that's with a large Packer fan contingent. Here's to the "twelth man" during this playoff run.

Exactly. I guess Seattle, Pittsburgh, Indy, Jacksonville, and Tampa are all in a hopeless death spiral just like we are.

they predict doom after every game but yes, it gets worse after a loss.

Some of these "fans" are embarrassing to be associated with. The:laugh2: main problem is some people aren't grounded into Reality. ;) I bet many of these people who are now "jumping" off the wagon were the same ones that wanted to Patriots to go undefeated so that we could beat them in the Super Bowl.

all of those teams had a starting rb rush for more than all 3 of ours did though.

and all save Indy allowed more points defensively than we did. What do both stats mean? Nothing in the long run.

that happens all the time. how often does a team rush for just 1 yard in a game?

How relevant will stats in a meaningless game be come playoff time?

How often does a team show up to a game where winning isn't the most important thing?

So I guess it's over for us then? Well Cowboys, call the commish and tell him we'll be forfeiting the playoffs since we have no chance.

Why do you all keep harping on just the final game? We haven't played well for over a month. I don't think anyone is basing any of their opinions strictly on what happened in DC yesterday.

And, besides, even if you look at yesterday, how many of the above teams lost by 3 TD's? I think most of them lost by a TD or less in their meaningless games.

Id rather it be like this rather then the censorship that goes on over at your Spurs board. People are entitled to their opinions and there is a certain amount of wisdom in expecting the worst because every surprise will be a good one.

Now i realize that its typically rose color glasses or the ban stick with you but this team really hasnt played well the last several games. We lost two straight division games and looked horrible in the process. Its not about how youre playing in October that matters but how youre playing as december turns into january that matters.

Its not as if we havent seen monumental collapses from this team in the last few years.
