Good news on Gregory?

He was very limited and only played 36 snaps. The Lions ran 64 plays. And if I remember right, Rolando got hurt or Hitchens would have hardly seen the field.

And that's the playoffs. You don't risk pushing an injury in September like you would in January.

If Gregory is healthy now to play he needs to be out there. They won't play him every down. He'll be in on pass rushing downs, third and long, and obvious passing situations.

The video looked bad. Maybe one of those guys that when hurt they can withstand major damage. Or just lucky. Time to replace my #94 jersey with this young man. Feeling he'll be special.

You can't treat a sprain like that. The risk of re-injury is extremely high. I would rather he miss two games, then miss time sporadically throughout the season and never be fully healthy.

This is great news. That kid is going to be fun to watch. And could develop into something really special....

Now, I know Ware has the numbers. The years, expereicne, etc etc..... Cant deny him any of that;

But it seemed to me, that he lacked something as a pass rusher. I think he disapeared in big moments of the game....I would have to go back through all that film, to prove it, and I aint doing that; But, I just didnt get excited about Ware. Like I did watching Haley, and others...

The Gregory kid has some juice to him.

This is good news. Were going to need him.

Nick Eatman on Cowboys break today said something to that affect. Says he will NOT play at the Egals games, but may be back for the Falcons game. So take it for what it's worth.

I wish he could have played this week that rookie dend for the Falcons, Beasley, is very similar to Gregory and had some success.

Problem is, Philly won't allow Dallas to make substitutions. Once he's on the field, it would be a while before Philly changed personnel to allow Dallas to get him off the field. So, he'd be in on passing and running downs.

I was referring to him playing against Atlanta. He's not gonna be ready for this game against the Eagles, but if he can play against the Falcons I don't see any reason we shouldn't play him. He's our most talented player on the D-Line and had a profound impact in Week 1 in his first NFL game.

I didn't say rush him back if he's not healthy. The Cowboys aren't going to do that. They won't play him unless he's healthy enough to play. There's always a risk for further injury. If he has to miss two games that's fine, but if he is ready to go next week against Atlanta then he should be out there.

I just have a hard time believing that a high ankle is only going to cost a game or 2, especially with how unpredicatable their healing can be.

Jamaal Charles was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain last year. Missed one game.
