Davis, yes sign him
Polk, yes sign him if needed for a camp body. I'm not sold on him yet
Carpenter, keep him, finally give him a shot, put him at one position and leave him.

Let Carpenter and Beckwith(hopefully) fight it out in training camp. We all know Beckwith will win that battle but at least we can say w gave Carp a chance.

Davis - yes.

Polk - no. We have to find a young guy to play ST and actually push for playing time on D with that roster spot.

Carp - maybe. Unless we get real value for Boobie (a 4th) then we need to keep him and hope like hell he starts to get it. He's a really good ST player for us.

Carpenter has been given plenty of chances. If he can't see the field in 3 years, it's time to move on. Wade brought in Zach and now Brooking. He has seen enough of Bobby to know he can't do the job.

I thought Polk was better on ST than Bobby was, so if we can only keep 1, I say Polk. Bobby will never see the field. Admit the mistake and cut him if you can't trade him.

Yes Ellis is a drama queen but he still plays good football, not sure we can afford to let him go with Spencer probably seeing some skipped games due to his police problem. We are always going to have some drama, we all know Greg is harmless and when push comes to shove he plays his heart out for the team. I agree he is getting older and may have lost a 1/4 step but he is smart and can help us even if he is not a sack machine. Best Player available in this draft, Go Cowboys.

Resign Davis and Polk would be good with me. We can keep Bobby for his ST play and some defensive snaps. I'd like to see them either cut or restructure the contract of Ellis. I just think he's getting paid a little much, at this point, for what he brings to the team.

Especially this season if Spencer can stay healthy I believe Ellis will see his snaps greatly reduced.

I'd rather draft someone and roll the dice with Spencer than keep Ellis.
