It's sad to say that Pittsburgh got to Six Superbowls before Dallas did because they are a better owned/managed team than Dallas. I have my opinion that Dallas is better. Could Dallas beat Pittsburgh in the Superbowl? They came close to beating them in Pittsburgh. I hope Jerry takes a good look at the Superbowl and realize it was him that hurt this team by not having solid structure within the team. The Rooney's have great structure in Pittsburgh. The Players know who is in charge in the lockeroom. Here in Dallas, Jerry Jones allows players to form groups or clicks within the team. Wade nor Garrett has no say in what happens. T.O. has a Team. Romo has a Team. When will Jerry get tired of watching all these Superbowls and play for another title. Defense wins championships but winning starts at the top. Wade nor Garrett cannot do what Jerry does not allow. It's ashamed that Jerry acts like he doesn't miss winning. You know the way Jimmy took us to the top. The way Tom & Tex built Americas Team. Congratualtions Mr. Rooney & the Pittsburgh Steelers & fans. You deserve it! You are better owned & structured team/organization.

It took the Steelers a long time to figure out how to run a franchise. The elder Rooney bought the team in 1933. They didn't make the playoffs until 1947 and then didn't return to the playoffs until 1972. In their first 37 years of existence they went 168-270-18, which is a 38.82% winning percentage. Was that Rooney a good owner during that time?

He was considered a good owner during the 70s when the Steelers were finally winning championships? Now his son is considered a good owner because of winning 2 of the last 4. Well, Jerry won 3 of 4 at one point. Was he a good owner then and a bad owner now?

Yep. Because guys like Jimmy, his staff and scouts like Wooten and Ackles built those teams. It wasn't til after Jimmy left that Jerry with the 'help' of Lacewell took full control over personnel and Jerry began totally meddling with the coaching staffs and undermining the HC.

In the 2000 season, Baltimore won the Super Bowl. Art Modell was a good owner?

In the 1999 season, St. Louis won the Super Bowl. Georgia Frontiere was a good owner?

In the 1985 season, Chicago won the Super Bowl. Mike & Virginia McCaskey were good owners and George Halas wasn't since he never won one?

I understand bitterness over the season, but can we at least make sense? Is that too much to ask?

if ya wanna judge an owner by Super Bowls.....hasnt Jerry only been matched by 1 owner in the last 16 years? oh but those dont count huh?

and quit trying to give Jimmy all the credit for those bowls....he didnt do it by himself.....ask yoursel how many NFL owners out there would you rather have ....maybe 3?

Lets just cut to the chase here. After Jimmy left, Jones has been head coach all this time except for the Parcells years.

Owner, President, GM, Head Coach, Scouting Director.

Jerry Jones may be the best owner in the universe ... but as GM he's shown an absolute inability to run this team.

Jerry the Owner would have fired Jerry the GM 10 years ago.

And why is Rooney a good owner. Because the media says so. Guess what? - You've been punked!

The Rooney family push steroids to the players in the 70s. - Wouldn't you, if your a losing franchise for over 30 years.

Art Rooney Senior was only able to buy the Steelers because of winnings acquired in a longshot parlay jackpot he hit at Saratoga Downs.

Everyone knows the Art is linked to the mob and...

Of the 18 deaths of former Steeler players, interestingly, were some accidents.

One accident was quite strange. It happened to the very player who had spilled the beans on Art Rooney's team and the rampant use of roids.

70's lineman Steve Courson had nobly took his anti-steroid message to the people, boldly giving 100 speeches to college and high school athletes. He told his audiences he had bench-pressed 605 because of the power steroids gave him. He spoke openly about the damage the roiding had caused him.

Fast forward to November 2005 and this news headline:

Steve Courson, 50, was killed outside his Farmington, Pa., home in November while trying to remove a 44-foot tree from his property. The former guard was crushed while apparently trying to save his dog, after a gust of wind changed the direction of the falling tree. His black Labrador retriever was found alive, tangled in Courson's legs.

Courson dies and you KNOW other Steelers shut up about roid confessions.

Then wife Cathy Courson died of a purported suicide.

David Little, Pro Bowler of 1990...dies (allegedly) when he's bench pressing and he drops the weight which rolls back and suffocates him.

Like trees falling on you...that happens all the time. (Courson dies in Nov 05)

Terry Long, 45, whose 8-year career ended because he tested positive for roids. He supposedly drank antifreeze to kill himself. Quite a common method to kill, oneself, isn't it?

In other words, character has nothing to do with winning.

Pittsburg has had a great defense for along long long time... 1 constant! The Rooneys love defense and always will!

Defacto HC. He knows he can't realistically be the HC, but it's not because he doesn't want to. That's why he's hired several "HC's" who were really just coordinators with a title while Jerry hired most of the staff, sat in on coaching meetings during the season and notifies everyone of injury updates weekly.

Jerry's been this franchise's biggest problem for the last 15 years.
