Good Read On Putting Zeke's Season In Perspective

This is an excellent piece, in my opinion, by Mickey Spagnola in putting Zeke's rookie season in perspective. This season has been amazing even without the record.

As deserving as Ezekiel is of getting the chance to compete for breaking Dickerson's record, needless individual records mean nothing as compared to maximizing the prospects for this team to find success in the playoffs. It'd be a shame for him to secure that record only to forfeit playoff glory in the process. Much to Zeke's credit, he's totally in line with that. I think it displays an attitude that compels fans to respect him just that much more.

This organization has made solid, pure FOOTBALL decisions this year. This bodes well for the future. This proves that a certain voice has lost his "voice". Sticking with Dak is a FOOTBALL decision. Pacing Zeke for a long postseason run is a FOOTBALL decision. I love it. Could never understand why a certain front office employee could not grasp that you do not have to over SELL anything....if you win. So we are back to letting the results on the field do MOST of our talking...and ignoring the babble coming out of a certain employees mouth.

I don't like reading Micky's stuff. I think a college journalism major has more talent. I see Micky googling stuff while drinking a Latte and then writing an article based on what he finds out. Inside stuff is where its at. He has access, great access to Cowboys internal info but never seems to use it. I think he needs to come up with a change up pitch as 99 percent of his stuff is written in a Cookie Cutter format.

Exactly. They all want what we want. That super bowl title. He definitely cares about the record but to hoist that super bowl in his rookie season would be even more of an accomplishment.
