The only thing I guess that's "good" is that we wont be as upset when/if we lose, at least with Romo we had a glimmer of hope ... and now that's gone. I wouldn't really call that a good thing though, anyway you look at this it sucks. :(

I hope this is not a career ending type of injury, but it could cause Romo to retire a little early and it may get the Cowboys off the hook on that huge contract. Time to find another QB. Come on down Johnny Football.

I don't want a QB who can't read a defense.
I watched "johnny football"
and a lot of the time if his first read isn't there , he'll just take off running.
I DO NOT want a gimmicky QB that is known for running.

I really hope we win today. I seen a few eagles fans basically praising that Romo got hurt..
they're such a classless organization. I hate them and their fan base.
They rooted for when michael irvin got injured, just a classless fan base all around.

Johnny M looks small. Listed at 6-1, 210 but doesn't look even that big.

Yes and no.

If for some reason its more serious than they know or are willing to say..

..we have between now and the draft to know what to do.

This is a very strong QB crop coming out and I'd clearly want us to be players if possible.

I think we will anyway.

Finding Romo's replace just went to the top of the list.

Matt Cassel did. Anything is possible. The good thing is that our line is much better this year. If this was last year Orton would have been a sitting duck.

Cassel - coached by Billy B...Orton - coached by Red

The only advantage I can think of is that this team plays better as the underdog. And, of course, the franchise has a history of coming up big in underdog games with backup quarterbacks. :)

I still like our chances.

My concern is this.......We very well might win with Orton but can this team win another one after that? I don't think so.

The alternative is Romo putting on the pads and playing. Great, we might win but what about after this game? He is going to be battling this injury for the remainder of the season, taking injections, etc.

Basically, we could be going into the playoffs with a QB who will struggle to play in a game and another QB who is not our starter and hasn't played much at all.

What do we have to look forward too after this week? If we manage to get in, it will be over in a flash. One guy hurt and another who probably can't overcome the defense. Things are looking grim :(

The object is not to run the ball but to be unpredictable. Mix in run and pass. You can't just run it all the time and you can't just throw it all the time. I believe we'll have to win on the arms of Orton. That's just the bottom line.

The season was going to end at some point in the next few weeks so Tony is spared from any win or go home silliness added to his legacy? That's all I got...

I think in the teams' mind, entering last weeks game WAS win or go home. Turns out that it was just that. Same pressure as this week.
But I'm with you as far as lacking confidence this week. Just remember that the any given Sunday thing really is true.

Only positive I see is that when Philly is dancing on the star after the game holding up the NFC East trophy, that Jerry will be so embarrassed that he fires Garrett in the lockerroom.

Other than that?........................well, we will get a better draft pick by getting curb stomped................thats really the only positives I can think of.

Yeah but you trust Kyle to throw it? there is nothing good about being without Romo, period.

It was more or less complete sarcasm, and maybe let's see what people come up with (this was lost on a few)...completely agree with your point(s)

The misleading thing about us running the ball is that we don't consistently gain good yardage by running. Normally, we'll gain 2 or three yards and then break Murray loose on a long run, thereby increasing his stats. When you routinely only gain 2 or 3 yards against a better team, it's extremely difficult to be consistent about getting first downs and continuing drives. I think many of us tend to put too much emphasis on the stats rather than how effectively the running game favors us maintaining possession. It's a good bet Philly will be stacking the box on the early downs to force us into third and longs so they can blitz like crazy. Especially so, if Orton is back there.
