Hey Fellas,
20th marriage anniversary this year on 9/16 and what do I find on my desk this morning? 2 lower level 35 yard line tickets for the Dal/Den game this Sunday. Not one to gloat but I'm overwhelmed with excitement and had to share knowing fellow DC fans would appreciate it.
I'll be wearing my old white #8 TAikman jersey in a hostile sea of orange and representing the CZ members proudly. If you see their Dline doubling over in pain on the sideline, I'll be the one passing around the Gatorade bottle they just drank from.
As my father used to say, "Always find an edge and use it to your advantage to win".
Carry on Men.
Congrats! Great lady!!!! Now the important question - when was the last time u attended a game in person and did we win? No offense but I gotta know if you’re bringing the good mojo or not.

Great question and last live appearance to see DC play was the NFC division playoff game against the Eagles in 1996 which we won. It's been a long time coming.

Nice...ironically my first 8 games watching the Cowboys were home wins. We had season tickets in 1980 (Danny White's first year as a starter) and we went 8-0 at home that year. Then the FOLLOWING YEAR (81 season) we went 8-0 again at home where I was at every game. So you know I was feeling myself that I was the lucky charm and that every time I attended a game, our team won! Fast forward a few years and I went to several other games, including the NFC championship game at the Stick...we won them all! You're seeing a pattern here. Alas, my streak ended in 2005 when we played an away game at Seattle (a game that we completely dominated btw) and Bledsoe had a late game meltdown (as well as the defense) and we ended up losing on a last second FG. That broke my streak!?! I had been about 20-0 up to that point. The irony about that loss...I was having a meal at one of my fave steak houses at that time in Seattle (The Metropolitan Grill?) the night before the game. I am washing up in the restroom and whom do I see at the sink rt next to me??? Terrance Newman! I gave him a hardy greeting (without trying to make it too awkward since we were in the bathroom and all...lol) and he was very cool!

I, of course, opened my big mouth about the win streak with me in attendance, which Terrance seemed excited about. As I sat in the stands dejected after the gut-wrenching loss, I cursed myself for having offended the football gods...they heard my boast and sought harsh retribution for my pride...to this day I blame myself for that loss. ;)

Good wives certainly do matter!

Of course, this year, our opening game was September 10th, and a late game. This also happens to be my wife's birthday. She hates football, but understands what it means to me. I made up for it by taking her out on Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday lol. She deserved it.

Hilarious and I get it. I had the same superstitions in the early 90's. Same position/seat on the couch, wearing same jersey/clothes, drinking the same brand of beer during the game. Eating at the same restaurant ordering the same food before the game. Deep down I still carry a few of those superstitions with me today. I hope to carry the streak forward on Sunday for sure!!

Good job and those acts of good intent always pay off in the long run. Luckily my wife is a sports fan so this came a little easier to her as well.

Wait, what? Good wife? From my experiences, the only good wives have maggots in their eyes...but that could just be my sample size :p

Enjoy the game OP
