Fox's Curt Menefee, the Ticket-ex and former Channel 11 sportscaster, will get a big career boost later today. He's about to be promoted from play-by-play voice on secondary NFL games to studio host.
Here's how it will work. Joe Buck replaces James Brown on the new travelling pre-game show alongside Terry, Howie and Jimmy. Then Joe moves to the booth to work the game alongside Troy. Menefee slips into Buck's seat for halftime and postgame. When Buck heads off to work the World Series, Menefee will do pre-game duty as well. Not bad for a guy Channel 11 management didn't like.
