Got to get Pickens more involved

The great players play every down hard; they run their routes as if they’re expecting the ball on every play and block with effort on the plays they are not the primary, or even secondary read. How many times have we seen him run lackadaisical routes and seem disinterested on the sidelines…let someone else pay this dude; he has the talent no doubt, but now we know why Pittsburgh was willing to let him walk.

If i can somehow get a first I trade him, this team needs 2 years, unless they hit gold mine on FA and draft (not happening). I figure I better clarify more, most teams know he can only run 3 routes with his best route being the slant, so what do teams do? The massively shade inside and say play your next 2 routes you run worse. I like him, but he seriously loafed against the Lions and could of tipped the balance into contention, now the year is over. I don't think either tackle is starting caliber, maybe Guyton could be on the right, MAYBE, but Steele is not good enough. I get it we always draft oline and yet our line may have 2 years out of 5 above average, but years like this no way I can say it was anything near, with tackles being the biggest issue.

If it is clearly the BPA I have no problem with it.

I know this team needs defense all over the place but they need to stick to their board and hopefully get lucky that a top player falls to them and if it is an offensive player, so be it.

However, not sure if you get another top player fall to you like CeeDee did that year....we clearly needed CB and Defense. But he fell.

Brain---- Many are saying dump Fluse...i do not disagree...but the play calling seemed to consistently go down hill past few games?
I think someone needs to hold Schotty more accountable....what do you think?

There are likely good reasons why Pickins isn't being relied upon at this juncture. The HC and the staff are aware of the facts but likely want to keep it quiet for now. We might be informed in due time. Let's wait and see what the real issues involve. We could guess indefinitely without knowing for certain what to think about Pickens being so inactive lately.

With our defense as is, we have no window. We need home runs on the draft and FA. I do think the league is a bit more wide open at the moment so anything is possible.

When you have a healthy Flournoy where does a 4th receiver another outlet come from . I can’t imagine Jalen Tolberts agent being overly demanding I would much rather have him as a # 4 at the right price than anyone else on this roster . I could see a number of teams signing Tolbert .

CD(10)and Tolbert(8) had more targets than Pickens(5) and he still had more yards and an 80% completion percentage, compared to 50% for the other two.

Out of 63 plays Pickens received 5 targets. Could have been more with 6 sacks and 3 run plays.
