He passed by in his Popemobile.
He was about 20ft from us.

Great experience.

I am not Catholic, Red, but I recognize good Spirits when I see them, and I feel that Pope Francis is just such a wonderful person. He looks so innocent. I think that he is perfect for Pope. He looks like a really sweet and understanding man. He looks like he doesn't see his position as so much of a political role, but he sees it more of a humanitarian role. When I see him, I smile inside and out. And that is always, always....a really good thing.:)

ETA: I always felt the same way about Pope John Paul.:)

You hit the nail on the head on everything.

My feeling is that he sees more clearly than most are capable of... Or sees more clearly than some want to.

We are making a lot of mistakes, Misdirection... Etc

He's almost asking... "Please fix this"

I am catholic... Not hard core... But there is something special about him. I think I like that he has talked about the things that are usually swept under rug. Acknowledges the wrong. Let's get it right.

I agree with you, sir, 100%. He is Real. He is Gentle. He is Kind. He is forgiving. He is what is Right right now. With Spirit. He is what Life is supposed to be about! LOVE!! (He reminds me of Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi, who both I will always love, they were both heroes of mine, growing up)

Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa were heroes of mine. The previous Pope from Germany and this one, not so much. Maybe in time I will grow to like him more.

I have Buddhist and atheist friends who greatly admire Pope Francis. Seems like a great fellow in my book as well. Did some reading on his role and behavior in Argentina under the murderous Junta, and he came across as a decent man trying to do what he could to help out.

Been kinda amused at the folks trying to spar with him about various issues; he's a Jesuit, and those guys are no slouches.

Was married by a Jesuit .... Tough cookie. Lol

Good stuff! I bet that was a good experience.

It was great. Met some great people. Met some people who felt they were extra entitled. Lol

It was a long day but I would do this before waiting on line all day for iphone. Lol

If you like pope 2 then you will probably like this pope eventually. It's a clear, clear approach... No fluff. I like that a lot.

Do feel cleansed?

I showered before. Felt good.

Indeed, normally I wouldn't even think twice before answering that question. The moderators, doing their job have molded my behavior.

I think this one is pretty misguided as well. Heart is probably in the right place, just not the head. I'm a recovering Catholic though, so I don't really care much about what he has to say.

^^This. Exactly. I'm Catholic too, and I often feel that so much is ignored...I think he gets it.

I am on the border of being an agnostic/catholic, but you should care. He reaches a lot of people.
