It very well could be.
And if it is... well we can start looking at which offensive skill player is going to be most likely to be available when the Cowboys draft.
It very well could be.
We need to put some good money into a backup QB next year. Imagine Josh McCown starting for this team.
Nope. They both stink and if you think Cassel will be a major improvement you are fooling your self. This team has nobody that scares a defense right now and the play calling is awful. Cassel wont even move the needle.
Interesting
At this point the rest of the team will respond better to Cassel being back there.
Here we go again, that's all you fall back on over and over. Our wr's can't get open. Doesn't matter if they are open, Weeden OVERTHROWS. And WILL NOT look at any receiver option past the 1st 2.
That's arguable, at best. They could also get worse. What if Cassel goes out and throws 3 picks off the bat? Weeden hasn't really turned the ball over too much. It can be worse.
A loss is a loss is a loss.
I watched Cassel during the preseason with Buffalo... he was better than what Weeden is now.
Look, I am not a Weeden homer. I never wanted him here in the first place. He is a first class loser. With that said, what do you think the 3rd string QB on the Bills will give you? This is the guy on his 4th team in 3 years. He may be better than Weeden. That wouldn't be difficult. He won't be good enough to win games in this league, and that is the truth. You have to start questioning who thought Weeden was capable of managing this team in the first place. The problem is systemic.
Weeden is what Weeden has always been. He didn't wake up the last couple of weeks and regress. He was a loser with the Browns and he's doing nothing differently here than he's always done.
My issue is that Weeden's shortcomings should have been apparent in the off-season and camp, not to mention last year's off-season and camp. Weeden never had "it" to lose. This coaching staff and talent evaluators failed miserably at the most important position on the team, That is very concerning to me looking long term.
So your argument is preseason? You are just wasting bytes of space at this point, and you know it. You don't have a cogent argument supporting your position.
And if it is... well we can start looking at which offensive skill player is going to be most likely to be available when the Cowboys draft.
Then why has Cassell done that very thing?
Why did he take a Kansas City to the playoffs in 2010?
Why did he lead a Pats team to 11 wins in 2008?
I'll believe it when I see it. They also said CM would be on the field, but that was to the tune of 1 carry a game.
At this point it doesn't matter what either thinks.
It will play itself out.
If Cassel can't turn things around then the Cowboys will have a decent draft spot come next year.
Even if we make a run I think we need to go skill position heavy in the draft. We need QB's, HB's and WR's
So your arguments are from 5 and 7 years ago? TO was an all pro 7 years ago. He hasn't been in the league since 2010.
