The grass is always greener. Romo will come back and get us back to where we aren't a league wide joke, as always. We won't have a decent draft spot as long as he is in the mix.

What do you want me to tell you Bob?

Obviously Cassell is still in the league so I'm not sure where you're getting at. Cassell has had success as a starter. Weeden hasn't. He has a proven track record of being able to win games. Is he great? No, but at some point a change has to be made when you can't even manage to score a touchdown.

What do you define as success? Cassel was the #3 QB at Buffalo, behind Tyrod Taylor and EJ Manuel. He's on his 4th team in as many years, hasn't had a winning record in 5 years, and was terrible in his one playoff start.

What I define success is being able to win games as a quarterback, to be able to make key throws, not being afraid to throw down the field, and not being a complete liability as a quarterback. Maybe Cassel can't be that guy anymore, but we know for sure Weeden isn't. That change has to be made. It's been proven we can't win with Brandon Weeden.

Oh no doubt.

Thats what has leveled us. Weeden has been bad, but our outside WR's have been invisible and our HB play has been very unreliable. Its an unholy trinity

Getting Bryant back will be a huge boost because it will force safeties away from the line. Dont know if whoever ks throwing will be able to use him, but he should at least provide some relief for the running.

Most starting CBs in the NFL can cover Williams 1 on 1. And if you cant cover Street 1 on 1 you dont belong in the NFL

Like I said, Cassel hasn't had a winning record in 5 years. He was run out of 2 cities without a solid starter at QB. That should tell you all you need to know. Weeden is garbage, but Cassel is garbage, as well. If he were that great, he wouldn't have been #3 in Buffalo.

Weeden has made more money than most of us will ever see for sucking at levels in his job that most of us have never even come close to sucking that much...

When Cassel comes in and does exactly what Weeden does...Do people freak out, or just realize that backup QB's are backup QB's and that Garrett SHOULDN'T be fired when he has no starters to play?

You act like no quarterback has ever struggled somewhere and then not found success elsewhere. Sometimes certain places just aren't good fits. There's an injury and then all of sudden you lose your job like in Minnesota. Doesn't mean the guy is a bad quarterback.

Sorry but I cant get excited about Matt Cassel...

I do wish I could see Gregory, Hardy, Crawford, Lawrence, all lining up together next week! Can't wait to see that!

Cassel is a horrible player at this point in his career. All he can do is dink and dunk, he has below average arm talent... and worse, he is a boring, non-charismatic player. He's the exact opposite of the kind of player you would want to inject to give them a "jolt". If you could put a shadow on game footage of Weeden this year to where I couldn't tell who it was, I would think it was Cassel.

Weeden is also a horrible football player. But if the Cowboys are playing a bad enough team -- and if the defense would ever decide to get a turnover or any back could break a tackle somewhere and make a play -- they can win with Weeden. Saying that it can't get any worse with Cassel is extremely dangerous. Cassel has no experience with this roster and has not played very much period over the last couple of years. If his expiration date has silently passed -- like Brad Johnson's did in 2008 -- they run the risk of losing one of the few winnable games they have left.

No QB on the roster was going to win this game today throwing to Lucky Whitehead and Devin Street. Acting like today was the straw that broke the camel's back is laughable. Whatever decision is made must be made with the idea of giving the team the best shot to beat the Eagles and Bucs. It's possible that may be Cassel, but I doubt it.
