What I mean by that is he can't just get it deep with his arm anymore. That's why you often see him try to get out of the pocket first and then really step into his throw. He will rarely even try to launch it deep from the pocket especially if there are lineman around his feet.

I have been one of the biggest commentators of Romo - Show me. I have questioned him to step up and retire the chronicle of him wilting under the brightest lights.

But your assertion he can't get the ball deep anymore makes no sense in regard to the next statement you make about him getting outside of the pocket. He can still step into a throw from the pocket, which means your position makes no sense.

The tournament is now filled with all the great quarterbacks, and Flacco, and Cam. That is what this game is about.

Dallas did not get here with a weak-armed quarterback. He makes the throws he needs to, and now is judicious enough to not make the ones he shouldn't.

Would not surprise me if the Boys came out with the 2 TE formation, Dez and the Beaz, and Murray to start the game. That would not only help on the pass protection but also run blocking.

Burn them several times and that would stop this tactic. The OL has been adjusting to this defensive gameplan from those other games and should have it down pat by now.

1-1 on Dez would be a welcome sight.

People have been claiming this for years. I watch Romo's highlights all the time, and I don't see much of a decline in his arm at all. I'm sure there is a slight difference, but it's nothing significant.

I remember people saying it last year, and then in the game against the Commanders, he gets out of the pocket and chucks a ball 50 yards down the field to Williams while he's on the run. A weak arm QB can't do that.

You want to see a QB who has an arm that is on a decline? Watch Peyton Manning.

What they may be seeing is his back injury affecting his throws when he is injured. Otherwise, the guy can flat out chunk the ball.

Green Bay is going to blitz and blitz often in this game. We had better be ready for it or this game will get ugly fast. There are a number of reasons to believe that they will do this.
1. It is our weakness on offense. We have very few blitz beater type plays in our arsenal (traditional screen passes) and struggle to run the ones we do have.
2. Bringing more men into the box will slow down our run game (See Detroit).
3. Tony Romo struggles to get the ball down the field in perfect conditions let along in the cold of Green Bay. The Packers are not going to be worried about getting beat deep in this game.
4. The last thing the Packers coaches want to see is our offense on the field for 7-8 minute touchdown drives. Aaron Rodgers' calf injury requires him to stay warm. They know having him on the sideline for extended period is detrimental to his health.
5. It is the scheme Dom Capers knows and runs so well. In fact I believe he was the coach who taught it to Jim Haslett.

I don't think the Packers fear playing in a shootout type game. In fact I'm sure they would welcome it with open arms. Blitzing the Cowboys offense early and often will either produce quick scores, three and outs or turnovers. There would seem to be little downside for them to employ this strategy and just might result in a blowout win for Green Bay. We had better be more prepared for it this Sunday than we were last week.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander- we need to have multiple blizes coming at Green Bay.

I agree. It seems Green Bay was susceptible to the run in their base defense. If Dallas goes two-TE it may help the running game depending on Green Bay's base personnel.

To that 88 fella

Call me crazy, but i think Harris would be better on the bubble screen than Dez. He did it a couple years back with success. I think he is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. I also think Dez is a better blocker in those situations, so the combo of him blocking and Harris running would be more effective.

Just my two cents.

Yes, they will blitz all day.
They half come to the concussion that if you beat down Romo you beat the Cowboys.
Conversationally, we too must blitz Rogers and cut of the head of the snake to beat them.
Simple but kinda hard to get this concept into fans' heads. Harumph!
