Green Bay won the trade

How is this possible? This is the kinda of crap some people pull where there's no accountability.
It’s just an aged group who have no experience with other organizations so it’s basically an echo chamber.

There are three people involved in the Cowboys cap.

Jerry - 35 years - GM
Stephen - 35 years - COO
Adam Prasifka - 25 yrs - Salary Cap

None of these individuals have a financial background. The Cap/Contract guys last job before the Cowboys was as equipment manager at the Unicersity of Arkansas.

Jerry insulates himself with loyalists who aren’t necessarily the best at their job and once you’re in, you’re in. No new ideas make it into the core team so no new ideas make it to Jerry and, since he hates to be challenged, he gets it just as he likes it.

Here’s the rest of the front office

Charlotte - 35 years - Marketing
Jerry Jr - 35 years - Sales
Todd Williams - 31 yrs - VP Football Ops
Craig Gliebert - 35 yrs - Travel/Logistics
Jason McCay - 13 yrs - Football Tech
Brian Wansley - 30 yrs - Player Dev.
Will McClay - 24 yrs - VP Personnel
Jim Maurer - 36 yrs - Head of Training

The real issue is whether you trust the hierarchy to make the right draft decisions.
^ This.^

Williams was a good move given where we were in our current year. Something had to be done of meaning and consequence. I think it was a good deal.

I do have a question to pose. If we feel that draft decisions is going to be key to extracting as much value as we could out of the Parsons trade, and we have heard all about the way the Dallas draft room works - as a collective.

Then this organization is at risk with the quality of the collective in room any given draft year. So who is then the best judge of talent and character combined in the room? How does Dallas run into these issues with Gregory, Charlton, Mazin Smith, Bossman Fat and so on and so on?

How does this team underperform so much on the defensive side with the exception of Parsons who by all opinions dropped into their laps?

Are the defensive coordinators they hire exceptionally poor judges of character and talent?

If we are talking about the right draft decisions how is 2026 going to be different than the past 30 years? Good o-line drafting, maybe, poor d-line drafting historically.

Not only did they win the trade, but the fact, Jerry waited so long to trade him destroyed our season destroyed our rookie head coach.

You took away the best pass rusher in football, you took away the leader of the defense took away the leader of the team from the head coach.

Jerry brought back an aging DT that always arrives a day late and a dollar short.

A__ hole GM
Don't even know what we got yet.

Next year we have the largest deficit in the league.

Q, Tyler Smith, Ferg, Luepke, Bland, Clark, Wilson are all big, new, money injected right into our cap.

Jerry and his people are just not good at this stuff

2026
Total Cap Liabilities: $363,977,251
Top 51: $345,515,430
Team Cap Space: ($47,919,066)
  • Offense: $200,367,412
  • Defense: $139,564,685
  • Special: $5,583,333

You mentioned 95m currently, it’s much less than that

2025
Total Cap Liabilities: $284,533,360
Top 51: $230,215,117
Team Cap Space: $21,693,463

You don’t get it. Teams that trade away special players are the kind that can’t get to a Super Bowl for 30 years. The Dallas Cowboys have already proved they are that kind of team. If Jerry Jones could understand great talent he’d know not to trade special players. He doesn’t know what he’s doing as an NFL GM. And he’s never going to. Ever. Do you get that?

Hopefully his son knows better and hires a bonafide GM when his father is no longer running the team. My god, how many more years can it possibly be?
Name me one “special’ player on defense for the Eagles or the Chiefs the last several seasons? YOU CAN’T!!
Going back a few years, name one “great player” on defense for all of the New England Patriots Championships or the Bucs Championship? YOU CAN’T and in fact, Brady took less money so they could spread it around to a lot of really good players!
Don’t get me wrong because my confidence in Jerra to go get the right pieces going forward isn’t very high and as long as they have Dak, it really won’t matter but this was still one trade they got right! Micah is ONLY special against the pass, abysmal against the run, if fact he’s a detriment against the run!

I have no dog in this fight but.......

Chiefs- Chris Jones - Made all pro team every year since 2021
Eagles - Haasan Reddick best year 2023/Jalen Carter all pro 2024
Patriots- Richard Seymour and Ty Law are in the N.F.L. Hall Of Fame
Bucs - Derrick Brooks, Warren Sapp, John Lynch, and Ronde Barber are all in the N.F.L. Hall of Fame.

Very true. Parsons is much more valuable on a D like the Packers who just need him for the one thing he does very well. As opposed to the Dallas D that needed him to be the savior.
You can't grade any trade that includes draft picks who haven't been drafted yet, LOL. Dallas can still come out fine, they just have to use the draft picks wisely.
I disagree with you on one thing - Packers aren't winning a Super Bowl either - they got the wrong QB for that. Love isn't the guy to take them there. I don't believe in him at all.
In a few years, neither the Packers or Cowboys will have won any Super Bowls. The Packers will be paying an aging and breaking down one trick pony a ridiculous amount of $, and hopefully the Cowboys have some good exciting players from the picks.
They got Clark, Williams and still have an extra rd1 pick. I’ll take that over parsons. He’s in Dallas and teams run all over this team. Because then there is no Clark or Williams.

I hope Steve Young gets ran over by a bus, bro.
One of my favorite NFL pictures of all time was one of Steve Young, with an absolute look of terror on his face as Russel Maryland was hitting him.
Summarized the 92 and 93 seasons perfectly.

How do you know GB won the trade when the Cowboys haven’t used GB’s pick yet? Perhaps that player will be a difference maker. I think it takes more than 13 games to evaluate a trade

Parsons is currently ranked 3rd in sacks with 12.5 . And he has made some big plays in key parts of games this year. Packers are a tie away from first place. And my instincts tell me they are my dark horse to represent N.F.C. in the Super Bowl if the Rams should fail.

Packers have enough beef up front that Micahs mediocre run stopping abilities are not an issue in their defense. They just needed someone who could come up with game changing pressures in key situations late in games.

And he has become that guy for them. The perfect icing on a cake. Packers are in win NOW mode. And they just might go all the way. While Dallas is stuck in the annual okie doke and "we'll git 'em next year" mentality.
That's not a compelling enough argument to make the claim GB won the trade. We haven't used all the draft capital we received for Micah. Until that happens you are making a premature decision.

Agree with this. What I wouldn't disagree with is that Parson has contributed to their defence in a positive way.

I don't know this as a fact, but I would suspect that Williams has been good for our run defence, and possibly the locker room leadership.

You trust the worst GM in the N.F.L. to find a difference maker in the draft?

Detroit ran all over Dallas a few nights ago. No major change there.
