I'll say the only exception is O-Line if you don't have one of them you just short all together. It at least has to be serviceable.

Yea but adding Gronk , Fournette and Brown is a big influx of weaponry and talent that can’t be shrugged off.

"I agree. A great QB is all you need to win championships. Nothing else matters and I was better than my bro. I have the rings to prove it"

And defense. The years Brady didn’t win it the Pats defense wasn’t as good. And or he didn’t have the same supporting weaponry.

Not only does Eli not have more rings those were his only championship appearances.

Peytons teams were much more serious contenders year after year. Eli’s two SB runs are more of the exception to the rule.

But I also think despite the criticism Eli was probably closer to Elite than many want to credit him for.

Rodgers has 1..........again, being great does not guarantee a SB win, it makes it MUCH more likely. Kelly and marino were both GREAT. Neither have a ring.

Sure, but Rodgers is the reason for any of the success that McCarthy has had as a head coach.

Rodgers has proven that he can still be very successful without McCarthy. McCarthy still has to prove that he can be successful without Rodgers. Let's hope that big Mike proves that this year, but Dak isn't Rodgers.

and nobody has said that an elite QB is all that is needed... first off, Ive never seen the qb snap it to himself as well as run routes... but the point to all of this discussion is that the rest of the roster is much more interchangeable and not all that different from team to team.

According to some, being great brings championships.

How many years did Peyton Manning play?

And he got only 2 rings.

Even Brady who has 7 only won a ring by that percentage once every 3 years.
Drew Brees was very close and he only got ONE.

    Brett Favre got ONE

    Marino and Kelly got NONE.

Everyone of them are HOF QB's.

So only a moron would say the only difference between teams is minor and the qb IS THE BIGGEST REASON.

Clearly one thing change, no player would have pulled this crap on guys like Landry or Lombardi. No one player was ever bigger than the team or organization. You got high priced prima donnas who not only want pay but want to dictate how things will be ran, who stays and who is fired. Want to talk about poor culture, let players run the team.

Not excuses but explanations . I don’t think he really needs to provide any. His career has been very successful with or without championships .

And who’s fault is that the players have become bigger than the game ?

Understood but terminology and context is important . Sometimes you come off like an Elite QB is all you need.

And I’d add the rest of the team is different from team to team. You continue to downplay the other contributing factors.

    Right...

QB can be the most important reason without being the only reason. It’s important how it’s stated. Context matters.

True, but the real playoff success didn't come until Rodgers took over.

He did have that one good season with Farve though.

You can just get rid of the ball quick and use a lot of screens and dump offs to the backs.

Teams overcome oline problems all the time with scheme.
