Zay Jones – WR – East Carolina: Jones had an unbelievable season with 158 catches for 1746 yards and eight touchdowns. He followed that up with a very strong week at the Senior Bowl. Some analysts have him going as high as the second round. Don’t believe it! Watching tape, the thing that stands out is Jones has poor play speed. His play speed is in the 4.65-4.70 range. If he wants to get drafted in the higher rounds, it is important for him to run in the 4.5’s. Wide receiver is a stopwatch driven position and players get drafted on how fast they are not necessarily what their production is.

This guy is why the draft goes completely opposite to what he will have predicted. He talks about play speed but then talks about his 40 speed being so important for him lol.
