I interpreted this as he has:

The Dallas Cowboys MET with free agent defensive end Greg Hardy on Tuesday as they explore ways to improve a shaky pass rush from last season.

Hardy's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said the former Pro Bowl player for Carolina WAS visiting Cowboys headquarters.

I kind of left it open to interpretation, which is why I said apparently.

I'm thinking it was maybe floated out there by Rosenhaus in an effort to maximize his asking price with the Cowboys.

Agents are every bit as responsible for 'inside info' as anyone else in the business, and the best of 'em know how to use it to their advantage.
