You keep having to qualify and twist and omit....so his missing an XP early, where we would have won the game in regulation if he had made it, did not lose the game because he didn’t miss it later in the game ? Dude, you’re a joke. Coach Fassell is that you ?

A point is a point. When you miss we don’t get the point.. When you miss a FG we dont get 3 points.. When you ask for a 55+ then your expecting a lot. These guys are pros at what they do but 59 yards would have been a low percentage kick. He hit 56 yards walking away with the win.. Doinked the 59 yarder. But he needs to seriously practice that EP range..

Not qualifying and twisting anything. I posted facts that show that Zuerlein is a good kicker despite all the panic...everyone is acting like he is one of the worst in the league. Saying one play for 1 point early in the 1st half caused the loss is silly. The XP was a negative play early on but the game still plays out for both teams. I guarantee you none of the players or coaches are out there thinking that one missed XP in the 1st quarter was the reason they lost. Maybe Zuerlein blames himself and that's fine, I hope he does. But looking at the team overall and the entire game, kicker might be the least of my concerns.

    Would not go this far.

Bones has more pelts on wall than Garrett ever did.

I hope everyone realizes the point of the comparison.

Maher is an extremely low bar.

LoL what? Then please stop ALL the threads about players sucking. ;)

Zuerlein is an utter trainwreck and I can't understand, how they stick with him. Why not use that other guy they got when Z was out? At least this dude made his PATs count. Even the best kickers miss a field goal every now and then. But PATs on a regular basis?

I stay of out all the "Dak/Zeke/anydude's fault" threads because they're useless. But the Cowboys could easily replace Z and see how that goes. Instead they make every PAT a nail biting appearence of Mr. Z. Dunno if they wanna make our games even more exciting, but since we're losing so much these days I really don't need that. :D

Bailey was a great luxury. But didn't they let him go because he started missing kicks? I think he got hurt and was not the same when he came back.

In any case, I hope in the offseason they undertake a serious search to find a good kicker. Kickers and punters can be huge weapons for a team if they are good at what they do.

The hell you can't.. There is always a list of 20-25 kickers on the street looking for work. At this point we need to bring some in and have a look at them because Zeurlein is costing us.. The two misses in this last game and against Tampa are the difference between 7-4 and 9-2 right now. I don't know any other way to slice it.

I've been fine with keeping Zuerlein all year, to be honest he really hasn't been that bad. Perfect under 30 yards Over 90% on 30-39 yard attempts 83% 40-49 yards. Its the long ones he has struggled with. Also the XPs, which is just odd. Seems more like a lack of focus than a kicking issue.

Now the advantage of having Greg "the leg" is that he is supposed to be able to hit the long field goals which he has not. I've not been overly impressed with his performances, and would consider it a failure at this point if the Cowboys dont bring in a serious competitor over the offseason, however you have to be very careful what you ask for in making a change at K in December. That is a very dangerous move.

hes not on any team nor has he ever stuck with team long term.

so kai overtreated apparently nice stretch we saw maher have a what 13 straight fgs before he blew up , Kais backup but no telling when he would start regressing..

Gregs been around the block and i trust he will make the big kicks as hes done all year, its the first qtr kick or xp some were 59 and 60 yarders he missed so lets calm down on the ridiculous posts on how bad he is..hes average to above average just not great,. Crosby's worse and hes still with GB because they know he will get it fixed as hes been there before..the guys available are better?

that name we cant pronounce hasnt made one FG for us and not one clutch kick attempt and we are supposed to trust him because he can make an XP more regularly..smh..clueless fans!

Forbath is a career 86.4% kicker -period - end of story. He must be a bad practice kicker but his career is 133-154 (86.4%) - 12-19 beyond 50

    Greg is 254-310 and 37-68 beyond 50

soorry hes jobless and Gregs at least ranked around 10-15 in the legue makes him a solid kicker sust because hes not élite top 5 who cares hes trustworthy and you aren't a coach, are you?? ..our coaches agree with me..we could do worse and thats the fear ummkkk..hes made the clutch kick and truth be told hasnt been the sole reason for losing game this year.,.not one shred of proof.

if we wanted to fire all the players who aren't playing up to par this season we wouldnt be able to field a team..got it!!

being an 80% plus kicker forbath hasnt logged enough games or volume of kicks to be considered that if he was the ft kicker a full year +..theres reason hes jobless

And Kickers don't need to integrate or understand schemes or game plans. They line up and kick. Who was the kicker we brought in a few years back and he went perfect the rest of the season? So it certainly can be done. But no chance Bones is letting his man go.
