I think Gurley was better. Winston completed below 60% and had 22 TDs to 21 turnovers (15 ints and 6 fumbles). 1100 yards and 10 TDs is impressive even if he played in all 16 games.

LOL, missed 4 games and gets it over Winston. What a joke.
Even though Gurley missed 4 games he was definitely an impact player for the Rams so I have no problem with him getting the OROY award over Winston and he too was an impact player for the Bucs and the future is bright for both guys.

I think Gurley was better. Winston completed below 60% and had 22 TDs to 21 turnovers (15 ints and 6 fumbles).

Winston didn't lose six fumbles. He fumbled six times, but only two of them were turnovers. Winston had 28 total touchdowns (22 passing, six rushing) and 17 total turnovers (15 interceptions, two fumbles).

His passing numbers were almost identical to Cam Newton's passing numbers when he was OROY in 2011 --

Newton (2011) 310-517 (60.0), 4,051 yards, 21 TD, 17 INT, 84.5 rating
Winston (2015) 312-535 (58.3), 4,042 yards, 22 TD, 15 INT, 84.2 rating

And they were better than Sam Bradford's when he won in 2010 --

Bradford (2010) 354-590 (60.0), 3,512 yards, 18 TD, 15 INT, 76.5 rating

All of them lost two fumbles as a rookie. Newton did have more rushing TDs as a rookie (14) than Winston (6), but Winston still had the fourth-most among all rookie quarterbacks in the past 50 years. Winston is the only rookie in NFL history to have at least 22 TD passes and six TD rushes.

I don't have a problem with Gurley getting the award, but Winston was more than deserving, too.

Winston didn't win because of the sexual assault blackmail case, plain and simple.

Gurley pretty much was the entire Rams' offense. 1100 yards in 12 games...he could have been the leading rusher all season if he played 16 games. He deserved it.
