Umm, no offense but you guys are goofy.

CB has substantially more value than RBs.
And the SB was won by a rookie DB, not a running back.

NE signed a veteran street free agent to replace their rookie RB and deactivated him.

There wasn't a rookie running back in the top 15 for playoff rushing yards.
None had even 50 yards rushing for the entire playoffs.

If we guys are goofy, you must be Donald Duck, A SUPER running back is more valuable than a DB, quack.

and round 2 and round 3 rbs have the same or larger impact over the past decade as r1 guys.

Well the Cowboys did pretty well when they took Emmitt Smith in the 1st round didn't they now ? Oh, and that's not forget about Tony Dorsett, taken in the 1st round -2nd overall I might add.:lmao:

The McGahee injury recovery to be drafted in the first is absolutely a legit comparison, as is the Peterson injury.

One of our high school football players tore ACL and meniscus. Had surgery in November....it's April and he is doing pretty much everything he could pre-injury. He will be going to Air Force Academy to play football and expects to be ready for training camp. I think 9 months of recovery is becoming the norm for young athletes.

McGahee sat out a full year of football.

Prior to his knee injury in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, McGahee was considered "a cinch top-five pick."[5] Afterwards, McGahee was projected a late third round pick due to risk of "a long rehabilitation process".[6] Eventually, he was selected with the 23rd pick in the 2003 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. Due to the length of the rehabilitation for his knee he sat out the entire 2003 season, but subsequently had two straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons upon his return to playing.

yup 20+ years ago RB were heavily valued.

not sure it makes of those teams that drafted R1 RBs the last 5-6 years feel any better.

Not ironically we sent our high school rb stud to the naval academy after an ACL tear.
He redshirted.

If he hadn't torn an ACL he may well have went to an SEC or Big 12 program.
He produced Jay Ajani like numbers in the same district.

Oh yeah, last year the Cowboys didn't value the RB position. Who are you kidding?

valued the position so much they offered the NFL's leading rusher a 4 year 16m deal.

Well if you are correct and the Cowboys don't value the RB position, then they won't offer big money to a RB and they wont use a number 1 draft pick on a RB. Now since you feel this way, why are you going on and on in this thread about the Cowboys using a number 1 pick for a RB or overpaying for a free agent RB. Are you kidding me?

That doesn't fit his agenda though. The RB position will soon return to being as valuable as it used to be. Jterrell hasn't realized that yet. The league is shifting back to the running game as being very important. Olinemen and RBs will increase in value every year as more and more teams try to copy the success of teams like Dallas.

Thank You for pointing that out, and I hope Dallas can be dominant like it was in the 90's with the OL and RB. The reason I want to see that, is I want Dallas to win Super Bowls(lots of them) like they did in the 90's.

Dallas didn't offer big money to a RB, so that's settled. No big money FA still exists tho fans can and do amuse themselves with Adrian Peterson dreams via trade(because those trades for big name guys like Joey Galloway/Roy Williams really paid dividends).

Dallas very likely doesn't go RB R1.

IF they do it'll be because they felt a guy fell that was a top 10 type player... because they'll be going against their own and NFL recent history.
Barber and Murray were big hits as mid round selections. Dallas learned from Barber and denied Murray a big money deal.
Felix was an R1 system fit with sublime kick off return ability. That flamed out here after he got a pro check and could buy all the fast food he wanted. While in round 2 there were two RB selections: Matt Forte and Ray Rice....

Fans really should be able to see this but they are simply too daft.
They get led astray by media who generally combine the traits of needing to stir the pot for attention and a general lack of football knowledge.
Dallas could realllly use a better punter. Why not start mocking them one in r5?
Because no one cares enough to talk about such craziness.

But hype up RB in round 1 and for some reason goofy fans eat it up.

the only agenda i have is reality.
what you have is supposition and complete lunacy.
the good news is you are not smart enough to understand why you are so wrong.

absolutely zero suggests what you say will happen.
