Much of that drive was run right up the gut, Haynesworth responsability is to stop the inside run, he is one of the best at it in the NFL but yesterday he was getting his assets handed to him by Andre.

Bottom line was he couldn't handle Gurode, he was getting mauled and beaten one on one. His actions after the play were retaliation because Albert was getting blew up during the first half and 3rd quarter.

Has anyone ever handled Haynesworth so well?
Is Andre beginning to show signs of becomming a probowl center?

Haynesworth body slammed Gurode like a little girl the play when the head stomping happened. He was sure pissed about something.

He didn't body slam him. After Gurode shoved Haynesworth out of the way to make the hole for Julius' TD run, Haynesworth used Gurode's momentum to toss him to the ground. A small sign of the frustration that led to what happened. Gurode was blowing him up all day.

Pretty much how I saw is as well. Had Gurode not moved Haynesworth out of there Jones would not have scored

Andre was starting to push Albert around,,no doubt about that. That's why JJ was running up the middle.

Nice to see Andre doing well. He was a great center/guard at Colorado. Hope he becomes one in the NFL. I would say he was one yesterday.

That is why the guy on the sideline(I cannot remember his name) said that Haynesworth was a coward. He was getting beaten and could not take it.

The interesting thing is that just seconds before we realized that Gurode had been assaulted, Siragusa said something about the Dallas O line manhandlng the Tenn D line.

that's pretty much what I saw too. Here's the absolute bottom line. Haynesworth was getting handled, and I do mean handled, all game long up until that point. His frustration boiled over and he stomped the face of his daddy. Happy Suspension Day!

Wow, you guys sure throw the P word around alot. Abit too loose I may add.

First ... Al Johnson was a Pro Bowler.

Then ... Greg Ellis was a Pro Bowl LBer.

Now ... Gurode is becoming a Pro Bowl Center?

I'll settle for solid starter. Let's not worry too much about the Pro Bowl.

He's definitely playing as a solid starter. If Dallas does well this year then we'll see some probowlers at multiple positions depending on far Dallas goes.

I think the OL is performing well and a lot better than many of us thought based on posts.

Gurode is not only playing good, but he's dominating his opponents. The reason I've jumped on his bandwagon, is because all year we couldn't run worth a squat last year... All of a sudden, Gurode comes in for the injured Rivera against one of the best front 7s around in Carolina..

I watched that game over and over paying attention to Gurode, and I was blown away in how huge those holes were to his side of the field.

Next thing you know, we wanted Gurode gone or something like that, and all of a sudden, Parcells was trying to resign him and no one could figure out why.

Parcells sees this guy every day in practice, and even Ferguson says that he hated battling with that big strong guy every day in training camp.. Just go and watch him on every play, and enjoy the domination.

Hey Eddie,

In this case, it might not be too far-fetched. Consider these two things.

1) Gurode has played pretty well.
2) This incident has raised Gurode's profile QUITE a bit.

The second aspect is HUGELY more important, especially in the case of an offensive lineman, who are largely anonymous. Since the Pro Bowl has become a popularity contest, the 'name recognition' angle is considerably more important than it used be.

Of course I realize what you're really saying is that it's faaaaar too early to anoint him worthy of a Pro-Bowl berth.

But this incident is just the kind of thing to generate the buzz needed to get him a spot if Dallas ends up winning a bunch of games.

Alot of people know his name now, and they know it because he was cheap-shotted (cheap-shotted?!? ;) ) by a former first round pick who got pushed around quite a bit. Pushed around to the point of totally losing it.

So is he pro bowl caliber center? Not yet by a long shot. 3 good games in a contract year after the years of mediocrity points to that.

But we all know how the Pro Bowl works and this is just the kind of thing that gets votes. Average play from this point on and the playoffs for the Cowboys will likely be enough.

Cynical? yup, but thats the pro bowl for ya.

it's obvious if a DT assaults a C, that the C was eating his lunch all day

Actually, Gurode didn't even block Haynesworth very often. The play when Gurode was assaulted was the first time on that drive (our first possession of the third quarter) that Gurode had blocked him. In the first half, Gurode hardly ever blocked Haynesworth on a running play. And on a few pass plays, Kosier was blocking Haynesworth and Gurode didn't have anyone on him, so he helped block Haynesworth after a second or two. But that was about it.
