Our biggest weakness last season could be a huge strength this season. We could legitimately have one of the best pass rushes in the NFL this year.

Think of pass situations in which Hardy can move over to the DT position. Gregory/Crawford/Hardy/Lawrence. My goodness that's some serious pass rushing ability right there.

Another thought: between Hardy, Lee, Gregory and Jones, four of our best seven defenders this year will all be guys we didn't have last season.

The offense should basically be about the same... but the defense has improved dramatically. Even if we don't upgrade the RB corps, we are a much better team right now than the one that was one bad call from possibly going to the NFC Championship.

That's a good point... but it seems that pass rushing translates better from college to the pros and from team to team than cornerback play.

That could certainly be the case, and I hope that it is. I think the complement of players we have on the defensive line combined with the coaches that we have should result in the positive results we are looking for. I'm not at all enamored with our secondary coaches though, I feel like they should have been fired twice over the last few years.

That is a blitz package I expect to see a fair amount of.

QB's won't have time to sit back and pick our DB's to pieces, because the QB's will be running for their life.

Can't wait to see this D evolve and become one nasty son of a gun.
