Guys We're 13-4... cool it

All you trolls that keep complaining about this playoff loss need to go troll elsewhere. We're 13-4. Also, as has been pointed out over 30,000 times by the "non-fair weather fans", we were 13-3 last week, which is also just totally awesome and meant we didn't have any issues. In fact, all of this obviously means the defense, coaching and offense are fine. I swear, lately when I've been getting on this board, I feel as though our team is 4-13 after reading some of the posts. Ridiculous.

To be honest-all these early exit playoff losses over the last decade are getting very, very frustrating, and I'm tired of it. And what's more frustrating is that when we screw up in the end, it's where one of our NFCE opponents kick us it-whether it's the Giants last week or the Eagles '06 xmas or the Skins in '05 or the Eagles in '03-we would go from controlling our own destiny to all of a sudden throwing everything away do to these NFCE Dec losses. Why can't we be on the long-end of the big stick once in awhile?

Other than that-I think I've calmed down tremendously. We DO need quite a bit of fine tuning...does anyone HONESTLY think we can win the Super Bowl with Akin Adoyele, Jacques Reeves, Marcus Spears, Julius Jones, and other guys that play VERY key positions like them? LOL-really...maybe this loss was good fortunes in disguise, as we now KNOW what areas we really need to improve on.

I do find it funny nonetheless how Extreme Skins is throwing a big party in their ATN section-now like 95% of their threads are currently anti-Cowboys, with MULTIPLE threads like "TO deserves an Academy Award for being a crybaby" to "The Pukes will implode in '08" to "I TOLD YOU about Romo choking" to "Norval is better than Wade" to blah, blah, blah.

I completely agree with you. It's really frustrating. I think what kills me the most is that I feel like the coaches and players got as complacent as our fans did with the fact that we were 13-3. If anything, SOMEBODY should have been worried that the team looked like crap the last 4 weeks of the season and that we really were never as good as our record indicated, meaning we had no business beating Buffalo or the Lions but we somehow escaped.

Its ok for simple-minded fans to take games like that as just a "W" and have no reason to complain...but for the organization to feel the same way? Wade was bragging about being 13-3 more than some of the fans. That's not a good thing.

At the same time, I'm starting to question the MENTALITY of the players. Remember in '06 after we beat the Giants in The Meadowlands, we took control of the East, and had the #2 seed in our grasps? After that crushing Saints loss, Jason Ferguson commented, "After going up 7-0, we got OVER-confident".

Seriously-for those that want to throw Wade under the bus for his laid back approach, look who the coach was in our '06 meltdown, and look at the SIMILAR comments players were making then like they are making now.

It's just like with the many penalties that happened under Wade-we had this problem under Parcells.

why do most of us dont like the patriots ? cause they are a good team and they are winning, why our division rivals dont like us, cause of our success...

Umm, one of the greatest collapses in history if you go by where we were ranked and who beat us. Weeee! We are 13-4. ??? 13 Ws dont mean squat. Regular season may as well be preseason once the play offs start. We are no better than Tennessee and TB who went just as far as us.

Yeah nothing cool about being one and done in the playoffs. Cowboys were in a position to possibly upset a team that would be going for greatness. We choked plain and simple. 13-3 team best, first round bye, 12 pro bowlers and we lose to the stinking giants. If you think it's bad here don't listen to any Dallas media or national radio shows cause people are laughing. Jerry and Co. knew now was the time and that's why this loss sucks so bad.

How about we are without a playoff win in 12 years? Is that easier to understand? Maybe it's just easier for you to accept less in life. I on the other hand expect more and am willing to do what it takes to get it. I do not sit on my hands and wait for good things to come. Thats why so many people do not advance the way they could in their life. They are to affraid to lose the security in their current job or whatever else it may be. Maybe the security in 13 wins a season. They don't want to risk it by asking for more. I would gladly take a 9-7 season if the Cowboys would walk away with another Superbowl. It's not the regular season record I worry about. It's about being the best.
