I'll go ahead and give the standard response.....
Get direct tv and the sunday ticket
Who cares if you can't afford it or can't put up a dish just get it
That isn't my standard response.
You can do nothing and continue to receive the same amount of programming for free that you always have.
A choice of 2 games at noon. A headliner at 3, Sunday Night Football at 7:30. All for the total price of zero dollars.
You can also pay extra to receive Sunday night's game if you choose (and can afford it.....and is available to you)
Those in rural areas missed out on that extra cable game for quite some time before Satellite service became available. Funny how I never heard them complaining about getting screwed.
And now the NFL is attempting to televise an additional free game (and build their network). As a football fan I already know which side I'm on.
I already pay for the Sunday Ticket. I would pay a modest fee for the NFL Channel even if tape delayed preseason games were all it offered. I'm glad I don't have to though and I benefit from the fight the NFL is waging on my behalf. Out of all the crap that is included in basic service, this is the one channel I do want and I'm glad the NFL is demanding it be a part of basic service. A channel that is capable of broadcasting games of such magnitude as this Thursday's game deserve to be part of regular broadcasting anyway.
