Carney is exciting...him and Iggy are solid at the 2-3. I would love to get Oden, but I am now just hoping Hibbert falls to 12. As long as we don't get Noah I am fine.

The cool thing about Carney was Memphis is the only Div 1A team to offer him a scholarship and then it was only because we lost someone else. He's a great young man and is an amazing athlete.

I think Bill Simmons just killed himself (ESPN sportswriter from Boston).

As a Mavs fan I'm glad the Suns didn't get a top ten pick - their roster would be even scarier with another talented bench player or more trade bait for adding KG. But Suns fans, don't feel too bad. Hawks fans have to be depressed tonight - would you want the number three pick in this year's draft? Wouldn't it kill you to get that close?

Oden may be great, but how is he possibly a better prospect than Shaq was?

I think Oden is on par with Shaq as a prospect. The thing that most impresses me with Oden is that he basically played this season one handed...and dominated.

Hard to pinpoint who the best prospect is because Duncan certainly was viewed as a C until he went to SA and Olajuwon was dominant coming out as well.

As for Portland...you look at that roster now...

Iagree, it is hard to pinpoint the best prospect. Hakeem came out the year before Ewing, so maybe that is why he was not mentioned. David Robinson came out after Ewing and was highly regarded. I have always seen Tim Duncan as a center. They list him as the power forward, but he plays like the center. Even when Robinson was still on the team.

It was probably just an oversight by ESPN forgetting about Shaq. Although I have always thought that Ewing was over hyped. He was a great player, but he seemed to get more hype than some of his peers because he played in New York. If he played in Milwaukee he would not have received the same hype, but still would have been the same type of player.
