MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Jake Butt knew Friday would be the final game of his storied Michigan career.

Michigan's two-time All-America tight end suffered a significant knee injury in the second quarter of U-M's 33-32 Orange Bowl loss to Florida State and likely will impact his football career well beyond leaving Friday's game early.

"Not sure yet, MCL or ACL," U-M coach Jim Harbaugh said in the postgame news conference.

For Butt, it's devastating news.

Injured - check

welcome to Dallas Jake

TE in the 2nd round- Check

No need to even do a 2nd round mock for the Cowboys. With the 64th pick in the 2nd round, the Dallas Cowboys select Jake Butt, TE, Michigan.

Terrible news and further fuel for prospects to skip bowl games.

I hope he bought a policy before the game.

David Njoku would look good in the star, but doubtful he'll be there or we'd even select him at #32.

Good player, but I'd rather look in the middle rounds so we can get some more blocks on defense.

Njoku no good. Two functional knees.
