OXNARD, Calif.
– Any lingering concerns about Greg Hardy’s health were dispelled Friday when he began bull rushing Tyron Smith during the Cowboys’ morning walkthrough.

There was a predictable uproar at practice Thursday when Hardy, the Cowboys’ prized free agent pass rusher, strained his rib while going through a light practice. The Pro Bowl defensive end joked with reporters afterward that “I don’t get hurt.”

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett affirmed that, saying the issue was a minor one and that Hardy would be able to practice fully at the team’s second full session of training camp.

Hardy has been made unavailable to reporters at training camp, as he prepares to face a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy last year. To hear it from his coaches and teammates, though, his all-out approach isn’t surprising.

“Everything he does is full-speed. He practices at game speed every second,” said defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli. “We did a solid job of that last year, getting guys playing really hard. It just keeps elevating when you have guys like that, that really want to play hard.”...

OXNARD, Calif. — Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy participated in all the drills Friday and wasn’t limited in practice after straining his left ribs on the first day of training camp practice Thursday.

Hardy moved well and never seemed to be bothered by his strained left side that slowed him at times toward the end of Thursday’s practice. Hardy looked really strong as he hit the tackling sled in drills and knocked around inflated tackling dummies.

Hall of Fame defensive end Charles Haley also made an appearance at training camp practice Friday and was greeted in the middle of the field by coach Jason Garrett. The two embraced in a bear hug.

Later, Haley spent some time visiting with Cowboys rookie defensive end Randy Gregory. Haley has become a mentor for Gregory.

“He told me to keep my head up and asked if I was doing OK,” Gregory said of Haley’s conversation with him, “and he bopped me in the head pretty good and that was about it.”

If both Greg Hardy and Rolando McClain can return to form, they could be our own version of the bash brothers. I'll bet someone in the local media at some point in the week leading into week 5 will make reference to it.

NFLnetwork yesterday was showing some of training camp. They showed Gregory, Lawrence, and Hardy working together and mentioned how the Cowboys needed to find a pass rush to succeed in the playoffs. They first talked about Gregory and then mentioned that #90 was Lawrence. Never mentioned that #76 was the Kraken. They were also showing the depth chart at the same time and under DEs, no Greg Hardy listed.

Don't worry, by the end of the season the media will be hyping our front seven as if they were riding their jocks all season long.

I was just listening to the radio and they were going through the "guaranteed" Hall of Famers that are playing now. Brady, Manning... They argued about Andre Johnson, Rogers... They never mentioned Demarcus Ware once. He's guaranteed we all know that. But do you think if he had that "killer instinct" people would look at him as a better player? He never was blamed for our team's miserable defense even though he was the defensive team leader for 10 years.
