My honest opinion is that guys like Hardy are genetically warriors in the purest sense. In pre-modern times, guys like Hardy (physical specimens with a freakish combination of size, strength, athletic ability, and ferocity) wielded great power and led their people in battle. They were heroes. Where do guys like that go now? Well, Mike Tyson boxed, The Spider fought MMA, Arnold lifted weights, but most of those guys in the U.S. end up playing in the NFL. To expect them to act like normal people - I don't think it's realistic. Guys like Hardy, Ray Lewis, Lawrence Taylor, Jack Youngblood, Dick Butkus, and Eric Williams (who I think was possibly the most dominant OL ever pre-injury) are warriors in the truest sense. They ain't like the rest of us.

well said man. well said.

its really quite a feat that they are even able to be controlled and corralled any at all even just a bit.

there are plenty of mean and nasty guys in the history halls of the NFL that if they played today would not be looked to favorably by the media and our extreme soft PC culture.

Some players just arnt used to losing in Cowboys fashion. Giving up 7 in 5 seconds after a key defensive stop and the only true drive of the game is humiliating and just doesn't sit well with winners.

Yeah, we are just so far removed from being a legit NFL franchise that people can't fathom. It's amazing that even 7 or 8 years ago players were coming here and being amazed at how bad the culture is. A clown like Tank Johnson could see it.

I'm glad Hardy got angry. He's one of those guys that want to win. After a while here though, guys become comfortable with losing. Makes me wonder how many years it'll take hardy to look nonchalant or even be smiling on the sidelines while we lose a game.

Bisaccia lost us that game. Our special teams gave up a 100 yard return at a crucial moment in the game and then right after, it gives up another play that seals the game for the Giants. Beasley should NEVER have been back there returning punts. There has not been ONE decent return by Beasley in any of the attempts I've seen with him returning punts, so why was he out there?

The problem with this team is that we have built in excuses for everything now and that's the sign of a perennial loser.

"we need to go back and look at the tape and get better"

just loop that over and over. rinse and repeat.

Been this way for years and there is no end in sight. The Cowboys could have 20 Pro Bowlers and someone would make an excuse.

not sure if this has been posted. But on front page of espn.com there is this and a 29 second video of Hardy just doing the "no comment, next question" thing. I dont know how to insert the video.

HARDY HAS NO COMMENT FOR EVERY QUESTION
After DE Greg Hardy and WR Dez Bryant appeared to get into an animated exchange during Sunday's loss to the Giants, Hardy ignored a series of questions by answering, "No comment. Next question," each time.

Not much here that I can disagree with my friend. Only thing I might have an issue with is when you said :

I don't think there will be a next year for him on this team. Just a hunch. Good post though for sure.

I'm glad he did that. Anything he says or does will be spun to as negative a light as possible. If he can't say anything without it getting painted in a negative light why speak?

I would love to see a report stating "Cowboys fire special teams coach after giving up a 100 yard back breaking ko return in
yesterday's game"..... some of you want to see "Hardy suspended/released/arrested for sideline actions"... none of us are
going to get our wish.

Personally, I don't see the problem... if anything, it should light a fire under the coach and the special teams players...
Special teams should have their best game next week...Should.

I get your point. But when a player does something like this, in most peoples' eyes he just comes off as looking like a bigger idiot. He was given a chance to at least say something like "heat of the moment, my emotions got the best of me, I am gonna talk to coach and to my teammates and we'll keep that in house".
I love him as a player but I think today hurt his future in Dallas.

I was actually laughing when Hardy and Dez were going at it because, I was thinking that if Dez had his monkey on the bench Hardy would have punted him out of Metlife Stadium. :lmao2:

special teams have been horrible. And yeah, I think some want Hardy gone immediately. I am not one of them...but dude, you can't have a player going off on a coach during the game...even if his players did blow the game. You just can't have this happen....especially not Greg Hardy where every move he makes is put under a microscope. I woulda rather seen him get quoted as saying something like..."our special teams stink, the coach stinks and they are why this game was lost." I would've laughed and agreed with that. But going after a coach? He may have crossed the line a little bit there, no?

Hmmm... As a man, I would rather be confronted personally than read a quote in the media... yes, it's the Cowboys and we are always under the microscope... the trick is it ignore the noise from the media.

Not a big deal and the team wil handle it internally.......

But I'm sure the media will try the whole anthill into mountain route and get the haters and gullible people attention so they can get their views/clicks.

And there's a bunch of marks in this thread already lol

People think it's funny when Lynch does it and he does it for the exact same reason I was referring to. When the media is probing with an agenda why give them what they want. Now 50 reporters are writing only about his no comment and not about how Hardy can't control himself in "the heat of the moment." If they want legit answers, stop looking for negatives to write about. I'm sure he'll talk later this week and we'll see plenty of agenda driven articles as a result.

Honestly, that's my biggest concern with Hardy. We start losing so many games he decides to take his game elsewhere. He's the guy that needs to be the leader of the defense. He's not afraid to call you out if you stink it up, and apparently that extends to coaches too.

What is wrong with some of you so called fans. Y'all complain when players show no passion, complain if they show passion, complain for over paying vets, complain when we don't, complain about Romo as the QB, complain that he isn't the QB, complain about no work horse running back, compassion we don't use Michael more when McFadden rushes for 160.....and on and on.

It's like no matter what this team does y'all complain. Losing Romo has hurt this team in so many ways. Maybe some of you "realist" fans can see that

What's wrong with you?

In what world is it OK for a player to go after an assistant coach?

Some of you are insane.
