I have been a critic of Hardy's when he first got signed. However, him getting upset is no big deal, IMO. Anyone who has either played in competitive sports or who has coached competitive sports on any level understands that emotions are heated during a game, particularly when you're losing. Heck, myself and another coach had heated words in the middle of a baseball game.
It happens. And you learn not to take it personally.
And, IMO, Dez was wrong. He should know better tan to approach certain people when they're fuming, especially when he's not playing.
Everyone doesn't take kindly to you getting in their faces. You've got to know who is okay with you getting in their grill and who's not. Let the coaches handle it. You stay out of the way and support those receptive to your support and encouragement. Remember, all players aren't the same so you shouldn't use a one-size-fits-all approach.

P.S., I didn't know Hardy attacked a coach. Did he do that?
what the Hardy Haters are not mentioning is that the coach shoved him FIRST.

The mediots have decided Hardy is a criminal and villain and they are all marching to that tune. No matter what facts that are shown. In other words, situation normal.

I would have shoved the STs coach too. Half his guys ran down the field (on the Harris TD) at a half jog and stopped when they felt contact. He has probably disengaged (with his HC candidate talk) so his players may be as well.

2 games in, he has 8 tackles, 3 sacks and 1 FF. He is tied with Jack Crawford in leading this team in sacks in 2 games!
He's making plays

And their pressure is light years better...

Hey why not bust up Linehan's offensive huddles on the sideline every time Cassel threw a INT?

Why not bust up Marinelli's defensive huddle on the sideline when practice squadder Orleans Darkwa ran for 6 yards per carry and was instrumental in the Giants offensive TD drive?

If hating losing is a sin, give me more sin, and more guys like Hardy on the team. I've been a lifelong Cowboys since the 70's. God probably won't care about my favorite NFL team come judgement day.

/Just hear God's last name is Mara
//Any truth to that?

It's pathetic how much the franchise and the fanbase enables this psycho.

The guy shoved a coach (not even his own unit's coach) in the middle of a game while that coach was trying to prepare his own unit for the next play. This is not an anti-Dallas media non-story. This would be big news no matter what team it happened on.

It is pathetic how people are saying "oh he's just showing emotion! he's just fired up!"

Just like a Patriot fan to deflate I mean deflect

I have no problem with Hardy being pissed off. The defense fought their *** off yesterday, did a really good job, and the team had just gotten it tied up. The defense was rested, and ready to go out there and get the ball back for this offense.

Then our special teams showed how pathetic they are, in another phase, and allowed the Giants to return a kickoff for a TD.

Now we aren't just unable to return kicks or punts worth a damn ourselves but we also apparently cant cover them worth a crap either.

If they shove someone (as the STs coach purportedly did) then, yeah. Coaches need shove, too.

I've never heard defense-offense locker room spats happening in the NFL or coaches losing their teams....

Is there video of the coach pushing Hardy first? Most of the clips start with Hardy slapping the clipboard out of the coach's hand.

It's irrelevant whether we can "afford" to lose him and I'm not interested in what you love. A player attacked a coach. You can not tolerate that. That player should be immediately suspended if not outright released.

Greg Hardy is a major league moron who would be in prison if he didn't play football.

Okay I had not heard about the attack on the coach, and I have not seen that video myself yet, but I absolutely 100% agree if he attacked a Coach. He has to be suspended in the very least, if not out right cut. Regardless of what he may bring to the team.

You simply can not allow that type of behavior.

Suspended? Okay let's suspend a guy for trying to hold one of these bum coaches accountable. The offense had just tied the game. The defense had stepped up and held the Giants down in the second half. Then the special teams cost us the game. I'm glad Hardy went at him. Did he go a little over the line? Maybe so, but I'm glad he cares. I'm glad someone cares. The dude loves football. The dude wants to win like all great players. You think he's the first player to go after a coach? Give me a break.

I don't know what world you live in but try holding one of your bosses accountable if they screw up by yelling at them, slapping something out of their hands, or pushing them. See how far that gets you.

It doesn't matter how passionate you are about the sport, which there is nothing wrong with. You still can't do things to your coaches who are essentially your boss. That's just stupid and to allow that kind of behavior is also stupid.

oh really.....

Tom Brady has done it on more than one occasion.

Comparing Greg Hardy and Tom Brady is moronic and you know full well why. Hardy's rep is hot garbage in the eyes of the non-Dallas-homer public. He needed to come here and keep his nose clean in order to keep this signing from being under a constant microscope. He has completely failed to do that in both weeks he has suited up. This crap has to stop.

This pathetic...

Hardy was angry they didn't give the defense a chance at all. The special teams play this year is the worst we've seen in a long long time. We haven been terrible at Punting, Covering kicks, and Returns, and blocking or disrupting FG attempts.

Did Hardy maybe step a little too far? Possibly, but a lot of you guys have been complaining about the ST coach and finally someone stepped up and went off. I don't blame Hardy one bit for being frustrated he see what we've been seeing for sometime now that some of these players do not have a fire in their belly.

Dez was doing the right thing trying to calm him down Dez is just as frustrated that he can't be out there, but he knew there was still time left and needed Hardy to channel that energy into helping the team when they needed it. Hardy was too wound up at that moment to hear what Dez had to say.

Dez never gets the benefit of the doubt from anyone as it's clear he didn't do anything wrong but what you would expect from a team leader. Hardy, Dez are Alpha dogs they know whats at stake, and they know these losses are going to cost them in the end.

Its about time we have players trying to hold other players and coaches accountable for whats going on and the lazy playing that some have shown on the field.

Tony, my man did the right thing as the QB and face of the Franchise going and talking to Hardy after the game, and by all accounts it seems that maybe he responded to what Romo had to say. Maybe Romo is the guy who Hardy will respond to because he knows what type of player and human Romo is. He has a unique trait about him and players respect Tony.

I will close with this everyone stop trying to be right and look at this team, this staff these players and think about all the complaints we've all had for the lackluster after by some of the players and coaches and think about what you all have been wanting for so long. Players who hold other players and coaches accountable, that show they care that show this **** show isn't acceptable.

I for one am glad we now have a few players that are in position to convey how the fans have been feeling for sometime now.

Okay is there another video showing the coach shoving Hardy first that started this? Because it sounds like from the people chiming in here that Hardy was just yelling and the Coach pushed him for no reason and they're pissing all over the coach for it.

From this video its obvious that Hardy smacked the clip board out of the coaches hand, then was up in his face and the coach pushed him out of his face.

So all you people saying that "you wouldn't take no smack if someone pushed you like that and just walked away" I'll turn this question to you. If you're the coach and some person slapped something out of your hand and then was up in your face screaming at you are you actually going to try and tell me you'd just be like "Cool man. Whatever. "

lmao.

This is laughable, at best, anyone trying to defend Hardy's actions here. He was out of line, completely, with the coach and there is no way around that.
