Garrett said it was fine, he was right there!

I'm referring to Bisaccia. He was asked directly about it and said it wasn't a big deal, it just wasn't the right time because he was trying to get them ready for the kick return. If he doesn't have an issue with it...

I don't think I'm defending Hardy, but I don't think suspending him for this is the right answer.

The most egregious faux paus was him slapping the clipboard out of Bisaccia's hands. That's starting to cross the line because you're basically physically putting your hands on somebody and Bisaccia needs that clipboard to show the players what to do. As much as the kickoff return ticks me off (it was a bad kick as well), the play is over and the team needs to get back focusing on the game.

If I were Garrett, I would warn him and explain why that behavior was irresponsible and doesn't do anybody any good, including him. I would tell him that this nonsense stops and I don't want to hear a peep out of him all week. And if it happens again, he's suspended. And remember, he is basically on a pay-for-play basis and next year when he's looking for a new contract, his behavior this year will play a big factor in what he can get.

I absolutely understand the frustration. But if you want to get after a coach...wait until after the game instead of in the game when he's trying to do his job.

YR

Garrett saw it all and said he was fine with it.

Relevant quote

The Cowboys' kickoff return team was huddling near the sideline as Hardy ran off after the extra point. Hardy immediately ran up to the huddle, pushed one of his teammates and then thrust his right arm toward Bisaccia twice before Bisaccia turned and put both of his hands on Hardy's chest to push him back.

Bisaccia was asked after the game if Hardy pushed him in the huddle.

"Well, no, he wanted to get in there and kind of get after some of the guys a little bit, maybe get them fired up," Bisaccia said. "It was just not the right time. It's really not an issue. I just had to communicate what we were going to do next on the return, so I just really wanted him to move on so we could get going."

What u got?

I'm sure he was referring to right before then when Hardy slammed the play pad out of the Special Teams Coaches hands. Not that he didn't deserve it....our coverage teams have been terrible. But obviously, a player can't be doing that.
The coach actually took it okay. Hardy was just pissed and fired up.

They handle it internally and he'll get fined.

Yup.

And it sounds like he's already talked to a few people about it including Romo. They'll deal with it in house and move on.

Of course I don't know whether Bisaccia really had an issue with it or not, but i doubt he would tell the media if he did.

Like Charles Barkley says if someone puts their hands on me there would be some furniture moving.

The ******* coach shoved Hardy.

You guys telling me y'all wouldn't have gone off?

Hardy slaps the clip board in an area where he has no business while the coach is trying to talk to his unit. I don't care if a coach is a scrub or not; he's a coach.

The real issue I have is with Garrett just standing there with his thumb up his ***. And speaking of Garrett, if Hardy did this to Garrett, I bet some folks here would be singing a different tune. All three phases of this team have failed this year at one point or another. Any player challenging a HC of that unit is really not acceptable, at least in my opinion. How the team decides to handle it is their business but to act like that type of conduct is acceptable is lame.

Yeah I guess justifies the coach pushing Hardy. Get out of here. He's a man. You don't push a man like that. If anybody was out of line it was him. I don't think it's lame to have someone trying to hold teammates accountable when your coach won't do it. Somebody has to show some passion and some fire.

He should have ripped the ST play sheet up and ate it - That would have been the best way to help the team.

The coach is trying to get his special team to cover what happened in the blown TD return and how to ensure it doesn't happen the next time with his ST unit and Hardy burst in and starts ranting...

What the heck is the coach supposed to do?

Does Hardy have cart blanche to go after any coach after their unit does poorly?

Screw talking to your players and fixing it -- let's just have Hardy burst in and rant HELP ME (point at himself), HELP ME, HELP ME... like he is the only player worth a damn on the field.

If he was pissed or wanted something done about it he easily could have answered differently. Maybe he did have a problem with it, but he did a real good job hiding it if he did.

That quote frankly sounds like spin.

Honestly, it fits right in with what happened. Hardy over there jaw-jacking and basically getting in the way. ST coach says get the heck on. Some pushing occurs and more jaw jacking going on. Sounds about right to me.

So that excuses pushing the man? Don't agree with that and obviously the ST coach didn't get through to his players because they gave up a 99 YARD TD. This guy is a joke. The special teams have been horrific since 2013. They were horrible in pre-season. I knew this was gonna come back to bite them. These players are giving everything they have. They were other mistakes in the game, but we still had a shot and that was our shot. I can't blame Hardy for losing it. The guy wants to win. Give me a guy like that who just sits back and doesn't say a thing.
