I was wondering about that since it doesn't make any real sense to me at this point. Why?

  • Jerry upto this point never brought up a trade possibility before hand, especially without even talking to BP about it. Yet he says, he hasn't spoken to BP about it.
  • Seems like they still are saying they like Romo's potential and not really going to do anything with Henson other than be patient and watch what he does in NFL Europe.
  • Last but not least, Harrington is not going to come in to displace Bledsoe right now, but if it is for future, that means one of the young ones has to go. Which means, Romo the most likely candidate, unless they give a good contract next year, he isn't going to stick around, which means they will have two high priced QBs, probably as backups? Because if they trade for Harrington they will have to do major restructering, even with that Harrington has to agree to pay cut.

Anyway, only thing that makes sense here is they are posturing for Draft, maybe either to move up or make some team trade up or down with them?

Not to mention, them bringing in an undersized linebacker to work out. It makes no sense, maybe it manipulates teams into not trading in front of the Cowboys to get an OLB since they think we are after this sims guy.

Wouldn't Beriault be considered Roy's backup?

Not sure there. They wanted to do that last year. But this year, who knows? Unless Keith Killer Davis improves by leaps and bounds his FS ability, I doubt he will be there. Beriault seems more heady player, from his draft report, but does seem originally like SS.

Either way bringing in smallish LB doesn't make much sense to me, unless I guess they don't think any of the FS available in draft will be worth much or that maybe they will draft both FS/SS?
