I listen to Josh McDaniels and I think he looks overmatched and has not helped the Cutler situation.
watching that, he reminded me of Lane Kiffin.Chocolate Lab;2701898 said:I saw his interviews on NFLN about an hour ago and was thinking the same thing (not about him getting fired). I don't think he knows what he's doing yet.

I almost see some of that very undeserved Charlie Weis arrogance in McDaniels.

Bill Belicheat quit before he ever coached a game for the Jets.
And
Tony Banks got fired as the starting QB before he ever took a regular season snap.

If Bowlen was going to comitt to McDaniels, then he should do so 100%. Cutler could be more valuable as a trading commodity than as disgruntled employee not believing in the plan his boss is trying to implement.
I'd move Cutler to the 49ers for their #1 pick, Vernon Davis ( whom the 49ers wouldn't mind getting rid of ), and a conditional #1 pick in '10 ( conditional on his playing time and production ), draft Sanchez at #10, draft Aaron Maybin as pass rushing LB for the new 3-4 defense at #12, and start the rebuilding process from scratch.
I believe in McDaniels' " no one is bigger than the team " concept that he learned in New England and I think he could do it if given the chance.

For a team that just won a SB with the Coach they ended up with, they were acting like a bunch of babies IMO.Bill Parcells never coached a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game and never took a dollar from the team. He gave them nothing but agita when he suddenly backed out of a four-year deal last January.
''We lost some credibility that we worked very hard to get,'' Tampa Bay's general manager, Rich McKay, said at the time. ''We'll get it back.''
Given Parcells's lack of contribution to the Buccaneers, does the team deserve compensation if the Dallas Cowboys sign him, as is expected? Or is Tampa Bay's motivation solely revenge?
The Bucs think they are entitled to compensation, and have asked the National Football League office for just that. The league will hold a hearing tomorrow, during which Commissioner Paul Tagliabue will determine the validity of the contract that Tampa Bay said Parcells signed and determine if his signing by Dallas constitutes damages.
