I have even heard things as far as the Ravens trading a possible pick to Dallas for TE Martellus Bennett. This is from si.com

You should Email DallasCowboys.com. They'd totally answer that in their next "Mailbag" segment.

Would have to say false. He was what a 2nd round pick? And showed loads of potential so we would have to at least get that pick back and more.

Not a chance. They have Todd Heap and they love the guy.

Seeing how we used a 2nd and he has a ton of potential and his best play ahead of us, I could only see a 1st as being acceptable on our end. That isn't going to happen imo.

I'd say it would be false, but then they traded Fasano for a 2nd. And I was shocked by that trade....so who knows.

Wish they would cut Greg Ellis who is slated to make a fortune this year as he gets older and slower. Not worth half his salary. Please cut him....the sooner the better.

Bennett is better than Fasano ... IMHO

They can use 2 or 3 TE sets and still love Todd Heap.

Anyways, I hope it's just a rumor. Bennett has a great upside.

I hope the coaches can take better advantage of it.

So the question is Martellus Bennett worth the Ravens 1st.

lol, why not.

Hypothetically speaking, say a late 1st isn't out of the question but who would be there for the Ravens choice.

Might actually pull the trigger on a deal like that for a WR Darrius Hayward-Bey or a legit Left Tackle.

The way things work at VR, they would probably send Bennett and throw in Austin for a 6th and switch places in the the 7th. A couple of days later, some on here would be calling a coup for Jerry and how he got one over on Ozzie Newsome.

The guy shows so much potential that I doubt Dallas would even trade him for a late 1st now that we've seen him get on the field.

There's no way. Bennett has a lot of potential and we'll be using him a lot more now that TO is gone.

At least a 1st would be the starting price. However, this is a year that no team really wants a 1st rd pick considering that more than 75% are expected to hold out until the season starts.

Fasano and Akin were packaged together for a 4th.

Unless the Ravens give up their first rounder anything less is garbage. I still probably would have to think about it. Marty B baby!

The first rounder could come in and pull a Bobby Carpenter, then we're left with Jason Witten and Hannah Montana.

As much as they "love" him, he hasn't done anything in years. I know their QB situation has been shaky, but he managed to put up big numbers a few years, so what happened to him? The Roy Williams(38) affect!!..I could see them being interested in a 21 year old TE with loads of potential..Todd Heap is finished.

The only way this runor has any legs is if it is because of Bennett's poor attitude and lack of respect for the coaching staff. Bennett has a pro body but a five cent head....shown on HBO last summer.

I must admit that program which showcased his poor attitude and lack of respect made me care less about this player. He may be a cancer like many of the players we finally got rid of this offseason.

Whoa. That is pretty harsh.
He's just a kid. Fun-loving and wild at times and it makes him rough around the edges. But, again, he's just a kid. He will grow out of it.

Like you were so perfect when you were in your early 20s and pulling down millions.
