I am utterly disappointed in everyone, not posting more on a Dak thread. the goal is to get to 40 page and rehash everything 5 times. I am doing my best contributing. we need everyone to pull together and just post non-sense for another 15 pages. lets just copy and paste what has already been said. come on people lets do this.... any Dak thread has to be 40 pages by default.
his first year was an anomaly due to an elite OL and he surprised some defenses with some of his running . It has been downhill from there.
I mentioned this somewhere else but I'm not sure his confidence changed as much as defenses chose to drop 7 or 8 into coverage even in running situations. Tough to beat 7 defenders with 3 receivers for any QB including guys named Rodgers, Brady and Montana. Zero push by our OL and DCs able to stop our running game with pass defenses will cause that.
That's one of the things for me. Here's what I see: "Everything the Cowboys have ever done for 26 years was stupid and silly. J &S couldn't manage a Bunny League team." "Benching Dak for tony was the right decision". Just an example of the train of illogical thought process.
I kind wish we would run when the offense is in pass protection. And pass when the oline is in run protection. I see Dak run for his life passing and Zeke run into a pushed-back wall running.
You see it on threads going after players, too. Someone will be calling out a player and there will be the inevitable, "the real problem is the FO," take, as if that absolves criticism of the players they choose.
Our OLine is more of a technique group than a power unit. They just do not explode off the ball which is why in certain running situations we just get overpowered. They almost have to be more of a trapping or zone blocking system to make up for the lack of push off the snap. Moore just chose to air it out rather than try to play this "Balance" game that alot of fans want to see. The other problem is Zeke and Pollard couldn't break a tackle to save their life. Combined they were among the worst 1-2 RB combos in runs/broken tackles. Zeke's break tackle numbers have been declining every year since his rookie year and he played hurt so I'll give him a little slack there. But we have to get some production out of our RBs when our OL isn't playing well and that means the RBs have to step it up and make some plays.
Nonsense is coming to this wonderful site and posting in favor of Dak Prescott's performance(After 6 seasons) and trying to sell us on his trash performance/results vs playoff-caliber teams! Now you keep on selling Dak but be warned your actions will become most difficult if not impossible as he will continue to stink up the place with his GARBAGE panic-riddled play!!!
Look at it this way, Pappy.... Even though the Cowboys will be bad at least we can ease the pain by coming here and laughing at the Dallas Prescott fans for being so wrong all the time.
