Just watched the Hard Knocks press conference. Did it remind anybody of 2002? I can't imagine that something this cheesy would be going on if Parcells was still here. And I'm not just talking about the HBO thing. It's the whole Jerry being back on center stage thing and making a Broadway spectacle out of the upcoming 2008 season. I don't like it at all and fear that it could become enough of a distraction to cause us a superbowl.

I don't like it, but he's got a new stadium that will need sponsors with the economy being in the scap heap and only looking to get worse over the next couple of years.

I think part of it is Jerry believes that if you can't handle the heat, you need to get out of the kitchen. But I believe that there's no reason to cause a fire when you don't have to. Plus, he probably believes that this team is far more talented then the past teams on Hard Knocks (which he's probably right)

It's going to be an absolute spectacle though. With Owens, Romo, Simpson and Pacman would make for a big enough spectacle. Adding HBO to the mix isn't a good thing.

How would "Hard Knocks" in training camp hurt the Cowboys during the season and in the playoffs. What during the playoffs they will be watching taped episodes instead of practice. And also isn't training camp(Oxnard,CA) like 3weeks long they finish back in Dallas.

I'm a little nervous about Hard Knocks, but the focus on Jerry Jones this off season is not greatly different than it was last off season, so if you weren't concerned then, there is no reason to be concerned now.
