Has McCarthy lost this team?

This isn't McCarthy's team, it's Jerry's. A head coach will never be able to change the culture of a Jerry run Cowboys team.
Post of the year and sadly true.

This team hasn’t had discipline from the onset this season. The turnover differential ( 32nd in league ) with -12 is the core cause for this teams demise despite all of the injuries and personnel changes.

At some point this becomes a HC and coaching staff issue with the turnovers. It’s undisciplined.

I’m not seeing any indication thus far where better coaching is making a difference . First we had the questionable decisions on 4th down. Now, we can’t get out of our own way.

Has McCarthy lost this team?
How can he lose it if he's NEVER had control of it.

On one side of the field I watched another young coach on an NFL team work his magic last night and on the other side of the field I watched a FAT OLD MAN standing there trying to look important, with a clipboard in his hand. I watched a FAT OLD MAN stand in the same spot all night long, not once did he wander over to the bench and chew someone's *** out for fumbling too much or missing their blocking assignments play after play after play. I watched a FAT OLD MAN stand there why'll opposing receivers and TE's ran circles around his LBs, CBs, SS and FS and not once did I see him wander over to an assist coach to ask " What the hell are we doing out here?"
Why didn’t he have control ? McCarthy was touted with his experience and proven success to be the HC this franchise had been missing .
There's something missing in 2020, the whole dam organization.

the issues are too deep to say its just one thing. if i were running things i would lean toward moving some players out first. until they see some consequences, they are simply going to make excuses & collect pay checks.

not excusing the coaches by any means but its been clear for a while that we have some players who aren't real committed to being professionals.

I’m not sure he ever had it. With Covid he wasn’t able to meet with the team and install any type of culture. This whole thing still has the remaining stench of JG all over it. He was +97 in TO margin in GB and this isn’t like him. It’s like a disease has affected everyone. Injuries. Zeke can’t hold onto the ball. It’s just weird.

He needs his OWN players, and especially a couple of playmakers on the D. Other than Dak, who are the leaders? I'm now a 100% confident this D needs a complete makeover. It's a cultural thing to me......

BTW.....Not trying to relive the old days but remember how Jimmy built the 90s D on speed? Young hungry, fast players and kept it simple. LBers were 4.4 guys.....

LBers were 4.4 guys.....
Jaylon would have needed a street bike to catch Kyler ..... but he's a generational player .... i can only shake my head and laugh. (yes, i know Kyler makes a lot of people look bad but ya gotta admit it was sad the way he shook the spy)

I think so....you gotta earn trust...and with all the whacky decisions....I think it got thrown out pretty quickly....and it's something you just don't repair. Jerry better figure this out quickly....it was a bad night in Vegas...get this annulled....and start over.

Sadly Jerry won’t admit he made a mistake hiring McCarthy. He’ll say it was a crazy year from the start and let him run us into the ground for at least the 2021 season. This is one dysfunctional team from top to bottom and yes it’s the bosses fault. And he is laughing all the way to the bank.

Finally MM did something in almost half a season Garrett couldn't do in 10 years.....and that is lose this team. Tired of all of the excuses. MM brought in the guys he likes as free agents, drafted guys he liked, hired the coaches he likes with 1 single exception in Moore. These guys especially on defense aren't even trying anymore. Mike said he wouldn't even talk to Zeke at the half regarding his fumbles....this blows my mind. Everyone includingZeke knows he needs to stop fumbling but it's his job as head coach to talk to an help him, motivate him, get him back to securing the ball like he used too.

This transition from Garrett's leaving to Coach McCarthy taking over has been one of extremely unfortunate timing. It includes too many injured players and a DC that has been trying to install a complicated scheme into his defense. I'm expecting this transition to continue well into the offseason and most likely, into next year, as well.

If we're this impatient as fans, just imagine how the players must feel. They're aware of the cruel circumstances they've inherited and feel the pressure growing. I'm sure the same can be said of the staff, as well. Most teams were far more prepared to cope with what this year brought upon them. We couldn't have undergone a complete staff replacement at a worse time. Fans refusing to allow for so many issues are being unreasonable, imho.

Will Jethro watch it crash and burn this year without taking any action?

I know who we’d be blaming if this was last year.

Pretty sure this team doesn't actually show up anywhere. So hard to lose any of them.
